Wale and Meek broke the mixtape news to fans over the weekend.

“Wale n Meek Mill mixtape???????? Stay tuned,” the DMV rapper tweeted. Meek Mill also hinted at the collaboration project tweeting, ” 2012 we going hard!!! RT @Wale: Wale n Meek Mill mixtape???????? Stay tuned.” This news comes just weeks after the Meek Mill and Ace Hood announced a joint mixtape together. No official word on a release date for either collaboration project. (This Beat Goes)

A few days ago, Ricky Rozay unveiled plans to drop his own solo mixtape.

“South Africa was beautiful,” he tweeted December 15th.

“Wrote an album worth of material there..my view was priceless.”>

Recently, Ross described Meek Mill as the hardest-working rap newcomer.

“That’s what the focus is: making sure it’s classic. And I’m really excited and proud that the homey is taking his time to go to that next level,” Ross said. “Of course he’s the hardest new artist in the game — we know that, hands down. Of course he can capitalize right now and we know that, that’s the obvious. But what’s not, is his debut album will be a classic.” (MTV)

After his Ambition sophomore LP sold 164,100 in its opening week last month, Wale later said he had begun work on its follow-up.

“2 songs deep in my next album…#iLuvThis,” Wale tweeted November 25th. (Wale’s Twitter)
