Southern rapper Waka Flocka Flame has addressed this week's speculation surrounding reports that his Georgia residence was invaded by police on a warrant.
According to Flocka, he has no ties to drug dealing or running illegal hustles.
“Now look here, I’m rapping right, why would I rap and go try to street gang bang,” Waka asked radio host Jenny Boom Boom in an interview this weekend. “Like, that’s hustling backwards. Why would I want to rap all around the world then hit the streets and gang bang? I’m a rapper, not a gang banger. How can you gang bang and be a rapper? I don’t understand that. Details on the unexpected raid circulated online Thursday (December 16) afternoon.
According to a search warrant obtained by TMZ, police raided Waka Flocka’s house seeking “marijuana, articles, pictures, andcommunications relating to gangs and gang paraphernalia.” Waka wasn’t home at the time, but police told TMZ that marijuana, prescription drugs and two firearms were found. Two men were arrested in the raid and charged with possession of less than an ounce of weed; Gucci Mane, who was also in the house at the time, was briefly detained. (Rolling Stone)

According to neighbors, there are still four cop cars parked outside. We’re told Waka is not there — and his mom tells us, if he doesn’t show up soon … cops will issue an arrest warrant. UPDATE: We’re told Gucci Mane has since been let go. Waka is still AWOL. (TMZ)
Waka Flock addressed the situation on his Twitter account.
