Southern rapper Waka Flocka Flame is reportedly the latest hip-hop artist to sign on to appear on popular VH1 reality television series "Love & Hip Hop" for its upcoming season in Atlanta.
While details are still slim, Waka recently spoke on his decision to get involved and revealed his longtime girlfriend Tammy Rivera would be in for the fun.
The cast of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” just got a little more interesting. On Jan. 27 Mstarz reports that Waka Flocka has signed on to join the reality television show. Waka Flocka confirmed that he will be on the show and will be bringing fiance Tammy Rivera with him. He also confirmed that he will be marrying Rivera real soon. Can we expect a “Love & Hip Hop” wedding? (Examiner)
Waka has also downplayed bringing any serious drama to the popular series.
The “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” news was first confirmed in a radio interview between Waka Flocka and 93.9 WKYS in Washington D.C. There he talked about his plans. When asked about possible drama while doing the show Flocka responded, “They know not to play with me. I’d go sit behind that metal for mines. But its not even about that. To me, a person can’t do nothing you don’t let them.” (Examiner)
Rostrum Records princess Vali recently spoke to SOHH and said despite her buzz in Los Angeles, she would not consider joining “Love & Hip Hop” if the opportunity fell into her lap.
“Not yet,” Vali told SOHH when asked if she would consider doing reality television, specifically, the rumored “Love & Hip Hop: Los Angeles” show. “I have to find myself first. I have to do a lot more music. I want to be up there traveling and doing a lot more. I don’t see myself staying in one spot too long just because I want to get out there [to the masses]. Maybe some day. Maybe there will be a show around me and I might try out. … It’s not that I don’t take it seriously, it just depends on what you like. If you love food and you love cooking, you’re probably going to love those kinds of reality shows. I think it just depends on the show. Sometimes when I’m bored at home and I want something to watch, I might watch some reality TV.” (SOHH)
Earlier this month, West Coast rapper Game revealed some business talks had started to go down with VH1 executives related to “Love & Hip Hop: Los Angeles.”
