West Coast music manager Wack 100 doesn’t want any parts of Internet personality Taxstone. The hip-hop executive has weighed-in on Tax’s publicized Troy Ave shooting case.
Wack went to Instagram last night (April 13) with some Tax shade.
Back in January, Ave publicly addressed Taxstone’s headline-generating bust.
“I view the charges brought today before the SDNY as a positive step in the direction of true justice for what occurred at Irving Plaza that night,” the Brooklyn rapper said in a statement through his lawyer, John B. Stella. “As we have said since May 26, 2016, Roland Collins (Troy Ave) did not enter Irving Plaza with a handgun the night of the TI concert,” his lawyer Stella, said in a statement. “He was not responsible for the four shots fired inside the Green Room that took the life of his dear friend (Ronald) McPhatter, and caused injury to him and two other innocent bystanders.” (Bossip)
Past reports claimed a judge denied Taxstone’s $500,000 bail bond.
While Manhattan Federal Magistrate Judge Andrew Peck had agreed on Tuesday to release Campbell, 31, on $500,000 bond and house arrest, prosecutors on Wednesday convinced Manhattan Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan to keep Campbell behind bars. They doubled down on their arguments Campbell posed a danger to the community and said witness testimony would “directly show” he fired, at a minimum, the shot that killed McPhatter. Initial reports claimed Tax would get released on a bail bond and deal with house arrest.
Hip-hop podcast host Taxstone, real name Daryl Campbell, 31, posted $500,000 bail after pleading not guilty and will be placed on house arrest with restrictions following his arraignment in a Manhattan court on Tuesday (Jan. 17) in connection to the fatal shooting last spring at New York concert venue Irving Plaza, Campbell’s lawyer confirms to Billboard.
