Former B2K member Raz B is slowly returning back to normal life after spending the last few days on life support following a brutal nightclub attack in China.
According to reports, Raz B can once again breathe on his own but remains hospitalized.
R&B singer Raz B is out of his coma and in stable condition, TMZ has learned. Sources close to Raz tell TMZ … the former B2K member came out of his life-threatening coma Sunday at a hospital in China. We’re told he is stable, breathing on his own, smiling and responsive … but has not yet been released from the hospital. He’s staying a few more days to be monitored. TMZ broke the story … Raz was smashed in the face with a bottle Thursday while performing at a club in China. He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent minor surgery. But the next day, when Raz didn’t wake up his back-up dancer rushed him to the hospital again. It was determined he was in a coma and placed on life support. A rep for Raz B tells TMZ … Doctors say it’s a miracle that he survived. (TMZ)
A few days ago, Raz’s publicist revealed the seriousness of his condition.
R&B singer Raz-B is currently on life support in a hospital in China … just one day after he was smashed in the face with a bottle at a nightclub, TMZ has learned. We spoke to Raz’s publicist, Toy Jones, who tells us, “He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible.” Raz received medical attention hours after the incident –and underwent minor surgery to repair a gash in his lip. But the next day, sources close to Raz tell us he didn’t wake up … and Raz’s backup dancer rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. We’re told doctors tested for brain activity and determined the situation was dire. Sources say Raz is breathing from a ventilator … and has been slipping in and out of consciousness. (TMZ)
Coincidentally, Raz nearly cut off his hand in a freak hotel accident last summer.
Raz B, former B2K singer, almost lost his hand after a freak accident at his hotel in China after a performance. According to TMZ, the 27-year-old fell through a glass door in his hotel and sliced his wrist open, causing him to lose a large amount of blood. The singer says that the glass tore down to his bone before he passed out and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors at Huashan Hospital at Fudan University operated for 5 hours to fix his torn ligament. Raz, who was released on Monday, has cancelled the remainder of his tour until further notice. (VIBE)
He previously made headlines for landing an endorsement deal with a company called Jukkin Energy Drink last year.
It has been well publicized that Raz B, formerly of the multi-platinum group B2K has taken residency in China while on tour promoting his music independently. As he prepares for a brief return to the United States to promote his music, he has already landed an endorsement deal with Jukkin Energy Drink Inc., before his feet have even touched U.S. soil in almost two years.
