Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly resting at home after a brief hospitalization in Texas from dehydration had him sidelined yesterday.
Wayne’s management released an open statement to SOHH and other media outlets to reveal he did not suffer a reported seizure Thursday (October 25) afternoon.
“Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration. He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.” (Statement)
Reports of Weezy’s unexpected medical complications hit the Internet early Friday.
Lil Wayne made an emergency landing in Texas after suffering seizure-like symptoms on a private jet … TMZ has learned. A source close to Weezy — real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. — tells us, right after the plane touched down … the rapper was transported to a local hospital to get treatment on Thursday afternoon. We’re told Wayne was at the hospital for several hours … he checked out around 6 PM local time. It’s unclear if doctors made an exact diagnosis — but we’re told Wayne is “doing better.” (TMZ)

The “No Worries” rapper took a moment to remember all the hitmakers who will contribute to his upcoming long player before rattling off names like Streerunner and finally ‘Ye. “Yeah he got some music on there,” Wayne confirmed. “It’s crazy, actually I don’t want to give too much up but he’s got a big hand in the album, you’ll see.” (MTV)
