After the two-minute hearing, attorneys handling the case addressed the media.

“He’s not guilty,” said Defense Attorney Marcus Allen. “I think he’s absolutely not guilty. I think he meant what he said. He’s absolutely not guilty. We’re just going to prepare for his defense and get ready to address the charges.  I’d rather wait for the evidence to speak as to what happened,” said District Attorney Hillar Moore. “He’s got several different cases, so it depends on which one you’re talking about. He also has the introduction of the drugs into the prison and obviously, he’s presumed innocent at this point.” The 27-year-old pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and drug charges as well. (WAFB News)

The rapper was indicted on murder charges earlier this month.

Hatch was indicted in the October 21st shooting death of Terry Boyd. Michael Louding and Adrian Pittman are also indicted on first degree charges on Boyd’s murder. East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore says all three of the alleged killers meet the criteria of first degree charges. Moore said that the death penalty is not out of the question. Hatch and girlfriend Walnita Decuir along with a former Dixon Correctional Institute guard and an inmate were also indicted on drug charges. (WAFB News)

Conspiracy charges have also been filed against Boosie.

Police records say Boosie and the two men fired shots into the home of Terry Boyd, then 35. The rapper allegedly was in possession of ecstasy, codeine and marijuana. All three men were charged with conspiracy for their part in the act, police say. A district attorney said the death penalty was not out of the question. (MTV)

Boosie is being investigated for additional murders.

Two other Baton Rouge men – 17-year-old Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding and 36-year-old Adrian Pittman – were indicted earlier this month on first-degree murder charges in Boyd’s killing. East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III said investigators are looking into whether Hatch and others were involved in at least five other slayings since early last year. Louding is charged in six murders during that time span, including the February 2009 shooting death of local up-and-coming rapper Chris “Nussie” Jackson. (2 The Advocate)
