UPDATE: DMX Won’t “Beat Zimmerman’s A**” Just Yet, Rep Speaks Out

Former Ruff Ryders leader DMX’s representative has stepped forward to clear the air after new reports surfaced online claiming he would fight George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match.

According to representative Domenick Nati, the fight is currently on hold.

Hold off on placing your wagers … money has become a big snag in George Zimmerman’s boxing match against DMX — the rapper’s rep tells TMZ, contract negotiations are STILL ongoing … so the fight isn’t official … yet. The rep Domenick Nati tells us, DMX verbally agreed to “beat Zimmerman’s ass” … IF and when he sees the terms of a contract … which hasn’t happened yet. Once an agreement has been finalized, we’re told DMX will officially be down for the bout. (TMZ)

According to celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman, Zimmerman turned down over 15,000 fight requests and set his eyes on Dark Man X.

Let’s get ready to … mumble. As in, what now, George Zimmerman? Seems like the former neighborhood watchman has found yet another way to remain in the public limelight. This time, he’ll be stepping into a boxing ring to fight rapper DMX. Early Wednesday morning, Feldman said he’s picked the contender. Out of more than 15,000 e-mailed requests, he’s going with DMX. “The match will be one of the Biggest Celebrity Boxing matches of all time,” his news release said (uppercase emphasis his). But in order to find out where and when it will take place, we’ll have to wait until next week. (CNN)

A few days ago, X revealed an interest in fighting Zimmerman.

The 43-year old rapper tells TMZ … he’s throwing his name out as a potential opponent for George’s upcoming celebrity boxing gig — just like The Game? — and says he wants to do it for “every black person who has been done wrong in the system.” DMX adds, “I am going to beat the living f**k out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up.” DMX says, “Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d**k out and piss on him … right in his muthaf**kin face.” He adds, “Zimmerman is a piece of s**t and that’s what he needs to drink.” (TMZ)

Feldman recently said Zimmerman was preparing for the fight of his life.

But according to Damon Feldman, the promoter of the event who has 55 celebrity boxing matches under his belt via his Celebrity Boxing Federation (CBF), George Zimmerman believes Game is the best opponent. “He [George Zimmerman] is open to any challengers that make sense, but he is training hard and he said ‘Game is the perfect opponent,'” Damon Feldman told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview.
