According to reports, X was sentenced Tuesday (March 16) in court.

DMX was just sentenced to six months in jail for violating his probation — but rehab could save him from doing hard time. DMX admitted to five separate probation violations — the result of using illegal drugs. During the hearing, a rep from the Pasadena Recovery Center gave the judge a letter from Dr. Drew Pinsky, asking permission to treat X at his facility … in lieu of jail. The judge seemed open to sending X to the PRC. (TMZ)

X’s manager Nakia Walker recently spoke on her client’s situation.

“Of course it is unfortunate and painful to see Earl incarcerated, as there are a lot of rumors and lies surfacing regarding the details of his personal and professional state,” Walker said in an interview. “However, thank God for a great team–family, friends, pastors and doctors. Collectively, I am excited to say that X’s team is putting forth every effort to ensure the success of Earl’s health and career. We appreciate the support of his fans. Please stay prayerful, as X will return.” (XXL Mag)

Producer Dame Grease recently said the rapper has not been using drugs to his knowledge.

“They got him on some super duper strict probation. You gotta report almost every day, so I think he missed like three or something,” said Dame. “Of course, the main thing is getting him healthy. But he’s been clean. He knows he can’t use drugs ’cause he’ll go to f*ckin’ jail. I don’t know what the exact terms [of the violation] are, but as far as any dirty urine, I’m not aware of that and I know he’s been clean.” (VIBE)

Last week, Arizona Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the rapper allegedly confessed to drug usage.

“He admitted to using cocaine, so he’s back in our jail,” said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. “I think it’s about time to give him hard time.” The get-tough sheriff said if the rapper is serious about kicking his drug habit, the Arizona jail system — where X has already logged time on animal cruelty and drug possession charges — could help him get clean. “We do have a great drug prevention program in the jail, so if he stays in our jail system I will consider (letting) him go through our program,” Arpaio said.
