According to reports, Scooter Braun, who also manages teen star Justin Bieber, pled not guilty on Wednesday.

TMZ has obtained the mug shot taken when Justin Bieber’s manager turned himself in to police earlier this week over a Twitter-related incident. Braun was wanted on two misdemeanor charges for allegedly refusing to listen to cops last year — when they asked him to post a Tweet letting rampaging Bieber fans know that a mall concert had been canceled. Justin is currently running an adorable little t-shirt protest to show his support for his manager. Braun pleaded not guilty to both charges. (TMZ)

Additional reports claim Braun was unable to reach a computer when asked by police to speak with fans via Twitter.

Braun, 28, of Atlanta, was released on his own recognizance yesterday after appearing in Hempstead District Court. Braun claims he was unable to use Twitter to announce the cancellation because he had no computer access. But Braun told a colleague he was “playing dumb,” Nassau prosecutors charge. (NY Post)

Braun turned himself over to police yesterday.

Justin Bieber’s manager turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday (March 24) to face charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance, stemming from a scheduled Bieber mall appearance last November that turned into a stampede and injured one fan. Police allege that Scott “Scooter” Braun, 29, failed to properly control the situation at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, New York. A spokesperson for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office confirmed to MTV News that Braun was in custody. As of press time, Braun — who also manages rapper Asher Roth — was awaiting arraignment before a judge. He faces up to one year in prison if found guilty on both second-degree misdemeanor charges. Authorities later released a statement addressing the situation.

“Mr. Braun put his own selfish desire for publicity above public safety and endangered the very fans who came to see his client, as well as innocent bystanders who were at the mall that day,” D.A. Kathleen Rice said. “By refusing to send out the cancellation Tweet and preventing others from doing so, he blatantly ignored police directives and put thousands of innocent people in harm’s way. It was only through the fast and efficient work of the police department that a horrible disaster was averted.” (XXL Mag)
