Young Money's Tyga may have to start looking for a new pet as reports claim law enforcement officials recently took his tiger away.
Details of Tyga losing his exotic pet surfaced online Friday (April 25).
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, California Wildlife officers received a report last week that a tiger was housed at Tyga’s home in Ventura County. We’re told a warden responded to the home — and Tyga told him he had removed the cat from the house (presumably due to complaints) and placed it at a private animal shelter. It’s unclear how long Tyga’s had the cat — but he began posting photos of the tiger on Instagram last month. (TMZ)
If things get ugly, the YMCMB member could find himself behind bars.
According to law enforcement, Wildlife officers picked up the 7-month-old cat at the shelter and transferred it to a state facility for safekeeping … while they investigate. We’re told Tyga could face misdemeanor charges of possession of a prohibited species … punishable by up to six months in jail. Worth noting, we’re told Tyga took good care of the tiger. Sources close to Tyga tell us, the rapper didn’t realize it was illegal to own … and as soon as he realized, he gave it to a sanctuary. (TMZ)
Recently, Bad Boy Records rapper French Montana dished on owning a pet monkey.
“He was a gift from Mally Mall. It was for my birthday. … Actually I went to his house in Vegas and he had one. He’s down with Coke Boys and he was like, “This is a monkey I have. This and that.” So every time I would go over there, I would play with the monkey and I said, “I want one for my birthday.” So my birthday came and he was like, “Yo. Happy birthday. That’s your monkey.” … Sometimes I change his diaper. He’s like my son. He sleeps in the bed but he a little bad sometimes. You gotta teach him some manners,” Montana said in an interview. “I just bought my first $5 million house. Everything happening for me, man. My dream coming true. Last October, French revealed his love for animals like dogs and monkeys.
“I love animals, man. I love animals,” Montana told MTV News last week. French has a few pets that he favors, but said the tigers are for the camera only. “My dream pet? I like a couple of them, man: monkey, I love dogs. See tigers, I don’t know, I can’t be playing with something like that,” the Bad Boy rapper admitted. “A monkey, I can handle it.
