Tyga’s G.O.O.D. Music Deal Family Or Business-Fueled?

G.O.O.D. Music‘s newest signee Tyga does not have to thank Kylie Jenner for landing him on her brother-in-law’s label. New reports claim family relations did not secure Tyga a deal with Kanye West.

According to new reports, Yeezus went with the former Young Money rapper for his talent.

Sources close to the rappers tell TMZ they’ve worked together on music for years, and signing Tyga was strictly a business decision. Although Kanye is clearly all-in with the family on all its ventures … we’re told the Kardashians did NOT cross the line into his music world. As one source put it, Kanye doesn’t take on ANY artist or project he doesn’t believe in personally. (TMZ)

Tyga released his new “Gucci Snakes” single Thursday (September 8) following his G.O.O.D. Music signing announcement.

Riddled with Desiigner ad-libs first made famous on “Panda,” “Gucci Snakes” is yet another money-making anthem for King Gold Chains. “High fashion,” raps T-Raww. “All my ni**as wildin’ / What’s the difference between Rolls-Royce and a Bentley, ni**a? About 100,000.” The “Kingin” star goes on to brag about spending “10 bands on Gucci” and playing Gucci Mane in his “brand new Wraith” on the track, which he and Desiigner performed for the first time at New York’s Highline Ballroom last night. Last night (September 7), G.O.O.D. Music head Kanye West announced Tyga’s addition to the team.

The face of G.O.O.D. Music revealed that Tyga is the newest addition to the label. Moments after that news, G.O.O.D. Music President Pusha T took to the mic, announcing Migos are signed to G.O.O.D. Music management. No additional details are know, but the Atlanta trio of Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset are currently signed to Quality Control as artists, with 300 Entertainment handling their distribution.
