While he maintains a high level of respect for Yeezy, Twista said nothing has been finalized in terms of a record deal.

“Yeah, my words got a little misconstrued when I did an interview, and I told the person it was possible because my main producer [The Legendary Traxter] works a lot with Kanye. … I really just left it open on my end as a possibility, but as far as us having any talks on anything actually happening concrete, nothing has happened like that as of yet. But as far as that being a possible place for me to end up, as far as me feeling right, then I would say, yes. But as far as anything transpiring, nothing has happened like that yet.” (All Hip Hop)

Last month, Twista displayed his interest in hooking with with Ye on a business relationship.

“It’s very possible,” Twista recently told XXL about the likelihood of him signing to Yeezy’s label. “My main producer, Traxter, is working a lot with [Kanye] lately, so that’s a possibility.” The Chi-town MC, who has logged in over 20 years in the rap game, says rumors of him signing with Cash Money flooded the net last week. Although he didn’t directly address those rumors, Twista does think he’d fit in well with G.O.O.D. Music, which already includes the likes of Big Sean, Kid Cudi and Pusha T. “I don’t think [Kanye] really got nobody like me over there, so you need a person like me up in there,” he added, while flashing an ear-to-ear grin. “It’s an easy vision. Can we make a hit together? We tried once or twice…it worked.” (XXL Mag)

Twista previously hit up SOHH to dismantle speculation of a rift between him and West.

“The funny thing is people are smart enough to tell, ‘D*mn, [the media] may have ran with this one,'” Twista told SOHH, saying his “rejection” from G.O.O.D. Music was misreported. “That’s exactly what happened. Somebody took a statement that I said, like a general type of statement, going through my conversation, took a piece of it and highlighted it. First off, if Kanye did reject me, I wouldn’t go around telling everybody that. I’m just not one of those corny a** n*ggas going around talking about people. I’m too grown for that sh*t. That’s one, and then two, it never was a rejection. I think I mentioned it to him in the studio and he was telling me exactly what he’s been working on at the time and since then, he had moved to Hawaii. He had moved to Hawaii when we had that conversation. So, that was just an old conversation we had once that I didn’t really want to press on.” (SOHH)

The Chi-Town rapper also said he would never allow himself to publicly call out another hometown rapper.

“I was actually trying to find a deal that fit me financially and freedom-wise,” Twista added. “And so I think I did that. But I wouldn’t rule out working with [Kanye] in the future…And that’s another thing, I ain’t ever crashing on another Chicago rapper. [The media] can get that one out from somewhere else. I ain’t saying sh*t about no Chicago rapper.” (SOHH)
