Maybach Music Group rapper Meek Mill's profile continues to expand as he has announced an official partnership with popular headphones line Skull Candy.
Although details are still scarce, Mill broke the news of his new business endeavor Friday (September 14).

His headphones news comes just a week after rap star Lil Wayne celebrated the launch of his own Beats Pro.
After ripping the stage with 2 Chainz at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, Lil’ Wayne hosted the launch of his Beats Pro headphones at the Playhouse nightclub in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Many heavy hitters graced the red carpet including Dr. Dre, Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine, Wiz Khalifa, A-Trak, DJ Drama, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, LMFAO’s SkyBlu, DJ Stevie J, and more. Shortly following the VMAs, Lil’ Wayne released the song he performed “No Worries” in its mastered quality on iTunes. The single will appear on Weezy’s I Am Not A Human Being II album due later this year. (Miss Info TV)
Along with artists like 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, Wu-Tang’s RZA put out his own set last winter.
“I don’t like to compete against my own crew, meaning, hip-hop,” RZA told Billboard.com in an interview at Hollywood’s Trousdale club last week as he prepared for the line’s launch party. “Hip-hop to me is a family. But you do want to sell the most records, have the biggest song and win the Grammy.” That said, he was quick to set his line apart from the efforts of MCs. “With much respect to the other guys, [Dr.] Dre is a producer and I’m a producer,” he said. “If anyone is into sound and dealing with sound, it’s more the producer than a rapper. Dr. Dre’s popular headphones line helped earn him the top spot on Forbes’ new Hip-Hop Cash Kings list.
With $110 million in pretax earnings, Dr. Dre is this year’s Hip-Hop Cash King–despite the fact that his long-awaited album, Detox, remains on the shelf. He’s not the only one on the list who banks the bulk of his bucks outside the recording studio. Diddy ranks No. 2 with $45 million, thanks mostly to a share of profits from Diageo’s Ciroc vodka; Jay-Z ranks third with $38 million, pulling in more than half his annual earnings from ventures including ownership stakes in cosmetics company Carol’s Daughter, the Brookyln Nets and a joint venture with battery maker Duracell.
