New York rapper Troy Ave is clapping back at the media. The hip-hop artist has fired back at the backlash he’s received since comparing his life to late rap icon Tupac Shakur.
Troy went to Instagram Friday (April 7) and announced a new project inspired from the Pac controversy.
This week, New York native Mysonne publicly went off on Troy Ave for referring to himself as Pac.
Earlier in the week, Troy made headlines after likening himself to Shakur.
“I go in the motherf*cking clubs and n*ggas is going crazy, in the clubs and the streets where they’re playing all the f*cking trap music, all types of sh*t. N*ggas go crazy. ‘Oh sh*t, that’s Troy Ave.’ N*gga, is the second coming of 2Pac. New Pac. I go do shows, n*gga, everything different. The handshakes different. N*gga, women suck a n*gga d*ck different. Everything is different, n*gga. N*gga, I said [I’m] the new Pac. I said that’s how it feel. Everything is different.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Recently, Troy spoke out on his now-infamous 2016 near-fatal New York concert shooting.
“I wear bulletproof vests. You see I had to take off my vest before we sat down here. But I’ve just been through so much, I’m not letting nobody kill me. Nobody’s taking my life. I’m going in just to build on my dream and I’m like, ‘Wow. I’m in New York City. Tip’s got a show. T.I.’s got a show. I’ma come out. Everybody’s gonna go crazy like, ‘Oh, Troy Ave. He’s one of us. It’s the Brooklyn boy. He made it independent.” [The viral video of me shooting?] I’ll say that video doesn’t show everything and I would love to talk to you more about it but I’m facing a serious case. My freedom’s on the line. I could go to jail for 20 years.” (Fox 5)
To be honest the only difference is PAC wasn’t no real street guy. He ain’t never shot nobody or shoot back at nobody he just had a big fuckn mouth. When he got robbed he shot his damn self tryna pull the pistol out bcuz he wasn’t used to know shit like that. He just like the ppl who be idolizing him carrying a pistol bcuz he was scared. His music was ok it wasn’t classic shit. That nigga sold his soul just like all the other niggas that made it super big in the rap game. That’s why he had on a gold bathing suit in the tub posing for the homosexual Crakkkas. He wasn’t no great rapper or no super lyricist. Last but not least the nigga was born and raised in NY n a lil in Maryland but like I said NY all his life. How u screaming west coast till u die. Fuck that mane that shit ain’t respected nowhere. I don’t give a fuck what them niggas did to u in ur city or whatever. I’m still gonna rep where I’m from n not dick ride a nigga n his coast bcuz he came n got me outta jail. So many things in this post proves your lack of information and bitterness toward Pac, especially when you said he never shot at nobody. How about instead of going by what you heard by word of mouth, go and actually do your own research, ignorant pos. And downtalking a dead person makes you a pussy.
Why would I be bitter towards PAC I don’t know him, n I’m not talking down on the dead. I’m just saying ppl need to stop saying nobody is as real as PAC. Everytime somebody say they the new Tupac ppl go crazy with this not real enough shit. The man went to the school of arts to act with Jada Pinkett. He didn’t really take 5 shots, he shot himself twice tryna pull the hammer out. He lied n snitched at the same time on Big n Puff. He knew who shot him but didn’t want no parts of the realness behind that. So he did n said nothing. Worst of all he switch sides n banged that side for life. Nothing about none of that is real. That’s all I’m saying n if u say something different u ain’t a real one. U can still like an artist or anyone but just tell the truth like I always say PAC wasn’t a real one or no gangsta but he made aight music to me n he is a revolutionary motivational speaker at times. Lastly my guy I’m not about to sit behind a keyboard n go back n forth with u about me not being a bitch or not. I been to the bing for beating niggas up n attempt of murder. But guess what I’m still no gangsta n don’t care to be. But I came home went back to school now I own a 6 bd 3 bth 2 car garage home with three cars and a beautiful family.
