Miami's Trina may not be ready to dish out her new label situation but the "Diamond Princess" opened up about her marital status and if a man's size truly matters this week.
Admitting she does not have a man by her side right now, Trina said all women feel size is a bigger deal than most people think.
“I’m actually single, I don’t have a man,” Trina said in an interview with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee. “I’m not a dater, I’ve never like, went on a date, went to the movies, went out to dinner — It’s really important. I’m just being real because I don’t feel like, and it’s nothing you could do about it, if your size is just small, that’s just what you’re born with. But size to a woman, it really matters and if they [tell] you it don’t, I think they are telling a lie. Because you need to have a good size, something that’s gonna bang your back out and make you feel good. Otherwise, you’re going to be looking for something else.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Last year, Trina offered a few relationship tips for women.
“1. You have to do a romantic vacation. When you’re away with just you and your partner and there’s nobody else around you don’t have to worry about the phone it’s just about you and them and what you want to do. It’s a nice way to relax and bond.” 2. “I’m an R&B fanatic. I’m about candles lit. I want to smell the aroma of vanilla. I want to hear slow, sexy music–that’s a good way to get in that mood. It’s just very sensual, whether you’re watching a movie, cooking dinner–whatever you’re doing. With a movie you can be so close where you end up kissing–just do anything where you can have those sensual moments.” 3. “Go and find really sexy lingerie and things that are very sexy. You want to be this exotic person that can create this fantasy world. I think that’s a great turn on. Play dress up. Put those heels on and just be really romantic it really really works.” (VIBE)
Young Money’s Nicki Minaj previously dished out what she seeks from a man.
“Um, I look for someone who is calm, someone who is strong enough to not have to win every argument, someone who allows a woman to be her crazy self and someone with a conscience not to feel less of a man. You know, someone who is able to honor his woman but also bring out the freak in [her]. Just being super aggressive when the time is right. Just something that makes me feel like they’re in control, when we are behind closed doors.” (KING)
Outside of relationship talk, Trina recently revealed no longer being signed to Slip-N-Slide Records.
“I’m currently in the studio working on my sixth album, which is amazing,” Trina told MTV News. “It’s my biggest priority right now. It’s really major. I’m really excited. I’m really excited about who I’m working with. I’m really excited about just this whole new phase.” Who she is working with is what led many to believe Trina will be joining Wale, Pill, Meek Mill and others at MMG. “I have a few surprises,” Trina added. “This album, I want to make it more about me. I’m not going to have a whole album full of features. I’m working with some really great producers and Ross, of course. He’s the structure and the leader for the album. I love Ross. He’s like my brother, so it’s really important for me that he understands where I’m at right now and to help make this album be as great as I want it to.” (MTV)
