According to Trick’s manager, the Motown native will address the rumors in a series of media interviews this week.

Arthur Alston, Trick Trick’s manager, told The News his client will address the matter in interviews “this week,” releasing this statement Monday from Trick Trick. “To all those who want to know what the No Fly Zone is please go to 1:17 on this video and quote me there,” Trick Trick said. According to a press release from The Right Productions and Chene Park spokesperson David Rudolph, an unnamed local rapper sparked the chaos.

“This issue didn’t happen within Chene Park; it happened outside,” said Rudolph, who noticed a crowd outside the venue as Ross’ camp tried entering around 11 p.m. “And it’s unfortunate that this was a tactic to prevent another artist performing.” … “After nearly four hours of hip-hop groups and emcees rocking the mic the audience was informed by Jay Hicks, HOT 107.5 FM’s program director, that headlining artist and Miami-based rapper Rick Ross would not be performing – as a result a band of individuals led by a local rapper who prevented and threatened to harm Ross if he entered the grounds to perform at Chene Park Amphitheater.” (Statement)

The statement also claimed up to 150 people were involved in the anti-Ross movement.

“This incident greatly saddens me and our entire team at The Right Productions who work so diligent to host and produce outstanding entertainment performances at Chene Park. Reports from our venue operations and security teams indicate nearly 100-150 individuals orchestrated a human blockade around the service entrance to the venue, preventing Mr. Ross and his entourage from entering the premises. A decision was made from Mr. Ross; team the conditions were becoming threatening and posed a security risk.” (Statement)

The “Bawse” downplayed the controversy and acknowledged his publicized absence over the weekend.

“Luv #Detroit I wiz ready to killm 2nite,heard it wuz a peace protest wit picket signs and locked gates haa,” Ross wrote June 22. (Rick Ross’ Twitter)
