Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth is having difficulty moving past his near-death experience after surviving a gunshot wound during this week’s fatal strip club shooting spree in his hometown.
Trae said dealing with the fact other partygoers lost their lives upset him the most.
“I’m alive though, so my pain is really with the families of those whose lives (were) lost, one of whom was a part of my ABN family,” Trae stated, referring to his Project ABN, a musical group and charity. “There are children that lost a parent that night and that’s the biggest tragedy.” The show had attracted a large crowd and several hundred people were in the parking lot when the shooting began, he tweeted. “I don’t know what started the shooting or who was targeted I just know that the crowd of people started moving in my direction and we were basically all sitting ducks at that point. A case of wrong place, wrong time.” (Houston Chronicle)

“Sitting Here Thinking & Being Greatful To Be Livin… But Can’t explain Tha Pain Felt For Those Who Died #GodBlessTheDead …,” he tweeted June 21st.
