According to the “Talk of New York,” 50 was in the process of his 2003debut of making his 2003 debut when he out-performed Busta and Rakim.

“It was one day we were in the studio and I’ll never forget this,” Yayo said in an interview. “It was [around the time of] Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and Dr. Dre was in the studio. Like I was saying, it was me and my man Weezy and 50, he did [‘Heat’], he did ‘P.I.M.P.’, he did like three songs in one day. And Kanye West was in the studio, I remember that. He was trying to like sing in Sha Money [XL]‘s ear. It was just a crazy day that day. Busta [Rhymes] was in the studio, Dre and I remember nobody could mess with this beat. This beat had gun sounds and cocking in [that] Dre made. I remember Busta tried, Rakim [tried] and 50 got on and just killed it. It was one of my favorite experiences in the studio.” (Hip Hop Nation)

Earlier this year, Yayo discussed 50’s ability to make a career in Hollywood.

“The state of hip-hop and music ain’t selling,” Yayo told DJ Vlad in a February 2009 interview. “The zone 50’s in with Cheetah Vision Productions, doing big things in Hollywood, has spots in Hollywood, LA, I mean, that movie money is just a whole different ‘nother monster…Paranormal [Activity] was one of the biggest independent movies ever made. It made millions of dollars and it had four actors that we didn’t know, right, in one f*cking house, one scenery. I didn’t even see the movie, everybody just told me how crazy it is and it sold millions of motherf*cking dollars…For 50, one of his talents is knowing what’s popping ahead of time, like what’s next. I think [with] independent filmmaking, you can be a millionaire, [with] acting you can be a millionaire…He’s getting into all that stuff, because the money is crazy. I just try to learn off of him.” (Vlad TV)

Yayo has also supported 50’s rap beefs, most notably against Fat Joe.

“That’d be funny,” Yayo said when told about Fat Joe wanting to have a one-on-one with 50 Cent and then squash their beef. “For me, from my perspective, that would be the worst thing Fat Joe would want to do in his life. To go in the ring with 50 Cent, 50 will beat the brakes off that man and I’d bet a million dollars on it. I’ll take a million dollars out of my own money and I bet he’ll beat the brakes off of Fat Joe because Fat Joe eats burgers and all of that and 50’s running, his last movie when he lost all the weight, from the airport to the hotel. Now in a fight, it’s all about endurance. It’s about who’s gonna last longer, who’s gonna be winning. I give Fat Joe 40 seconds in the ring and his fat a** will fall somewhere. 50 will wear him out…I never had a beef with Fat Joe, 50 had a beef with him and whatever beef 50 has, I have. And that’s how his n*ggas feel too. It’s back and forth bullsh*t, but you know, it ain’t nothing.” (Hip Hop Gossip Site)

Earlier this year, Yayo said he wanted to see 50, Eminem and Dr. Dre head out on tour together.

“You know what? I would love to see Eminem, Dre and 50 do a big tour, so I could make millions of dollars,” he said in an interview. “I’ll be a stagehand and work in the back. I wouldn’t even care. I know I’ll make a million dollars lifting stuff. It’s an honor to be in their presence. With guys like Em and Dre and Fif, these guys got busy schedules. Em is working on another album. Fif got about 15 movies; he’s working on another movie right now called ‘The Gun.’ Dre — come on, man, you see them Dr. Dre headphones selling like hot cakes everywhere you go. Those guys are busy guys. I feel blessed I could say that I know Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. A lot of artists beg to do a song with Eminem, beg to do a song with 50 Cent, beg to do a song with Dre — I’ve experienced all those worlds.” (MTV)
