From Yayo’s perspective, 50 makes wise decisions about his career.

“The state of hip-hop and music ain’t selling,” Yayo told DJ Vlad. “The zone 50’s in with Cheetah Vision Productions, you know, doing big things in Hollywood, has spots in Hollywood, LA, I mean, that movie money is just a whole different ‘nother monster…Paranormal [Activity] was one of the biggest independent movies ever made, it made millions of dollars and it had four actors that we didn’t know, right, in one f*cking house, one scenery. I didn’t even see the movie, everybody just told me how crazy it is and it sold millions of motherf*cking dollars…For 50, one of his talents is knowing what’s popping ahead of time, like what’s next. I think independent film making, you can be a millionaire, acting you can be a millionaire…He’s getting into all that stuff, because the money is crazy. I just try to learn off of him.” (Vlad TV)

50 was recently named the star of an upcoming film called Things Fall Apart.

Rapper-turned-actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Randall Emmett have greenlit their next feature, “Things Fall Apart,” through their Cheetah Vision Films banner with Jackson starring. Project’s scheduled to begin five weeks of lensing in May in Michigan with Mario Van Peebles directing from a script by Jackson and Brian Miller. The film centers around a star football running back, played by Jackson, who faces a personal tragedy as well as his own mortality while in his senior year in college. (Variety)

He is also slated to star in the forthcoming Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde horror film remake with Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker.

“That one’s coming up soon,” 50 promised of the film last summer. “It’s me and Forest Whitaker. I actually just spoke to his agent yesterday…It’s gonna be intense. [Director Abel Ferrara] is an excellent director, so his creative ideas will definitely be an injective into what it’s actually gonna turn out to be…The director we chose for this project is the kind of guy that has an eye for real cutting-edge, really in-your-face material.” (MTV)

Executive producer Luc Roeg has expressed his anticipation for the movie’s final product.

“The combination of such formidable talent in front of and behind the camera will turn this wonderful gothic story into a modern classic for a whole new generation,” Roeg said in a statement. (Statement)
