New York rapper Tony Yayo recently talked about reuniting with his G-Unit family and explained why ex-member Game's chances of coming back are extremely slim.
According to the “Talk of New York,” Game’s past association to incarcerated Unit rival James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond eliminates the possibility.
“I just feel like with the Game thing it’s like y’all know what it is. He was messing with Jimmy Henchman. It’s deeper than rap. Y’all keep asking that dumb question when his OG’s had FEDS knocking at my door. It’s like the industry, y’all don’t get it, ’cause it’s the streets. Y’all don’t get it. It’s deeper than that. Just Google it and you’ll figure it out. Let me explain something to you. My views of the industry is there’s a lot of snakes in it. Game was a snake that won. It was perfect timing for him. In what seems like a never ending saga, Game is apparently upset with 50 Cent and G-Unit yet again. During a recent show, Game took the time to change up the lyrics to his classic song, “How We Do,” and added in “F*ck G-Unit, they can suck my d*ck,” before continuing on with the performance. Though Game and G-Unit have had a number of issues over the years, it’s odd he would say this now, because last month on Power 106 he said it was cool the crew was back together again. (Complex)
The Unit’s Lloyd Banks recently cited a lack of communication for putting distance between himself and 50 Cent.
“Me and 50 wasn’t talking for a while,” Banks said in an interview. “It was a lack of communication on both our parts. I don’t know what to chalk it up to. We been doing this for a long time. Over ten years. Went from being in a condo just planning over what we wanted to happen and to watch it play out…It wasn’t just me and 50. Tony Yayo also explained what tore him away from the Unit head.
“G-Unit is the gift and the curse,” Yayo said in the interview. “I got emotional one day. You know I’m gonna tell the truth. [laughs] I got light-skinned on y’all. I got emotional and said, ’50 don’t rock with us,’ you know what I’m saying? I was going through a lot. But you see, the media took what I said — and blew it up.
