Instead of standing behind the remarks, the “Talk of New York” admitted frustrations fueled the now-infamous rants.

“That was me being emotional that day. That was me being upset and sh*t and being wrong. But at the same time, when it comes to this reunion, I always felt like I’d die for this sh*t. When you are at a point and your back is against the wall, nobody is talking and you are frustrated, you are having a bad day, your kids yelling, screaming; when I say I made the brand, I just felt like sometimes, in my mind, I’ve been around Fif for so long. Sometimes, I get arrogant. I was living the life, but when I say I made the brand, I can’t say that. It’s a team effort.” (XXL Mag)

Yayo speaks on what has kept him a G-Unit member forever right here…

Yayo also explained how much loyalty he has always had for the Unit.

“Loyalty, I’m the biggest on loyalty with Fif. You could have a bag full of money, your money is going to be there. You can have your girlfriend here. Your girlfriend is gonna be here. That’s what really had me more upset with Fif was my loyalty to G-Unit.” (XXL Mag)

The “Talk of New York” recently explained what tore him away from the Unit head.

“G-Unit is the gift and the curse,” Yayo said in the interview. “I got emotional one day. You know I’m gonna tell the truth. [laughs] I got light-skinned on y’all. I got emotional and said, ’50 don’t rock with us,’ you know what I’m saying? I was going through a lot. But you see, the media took what I said — and blew it up. Everybody started running with it and got crazy with it. That’s all that was.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Although the Unit had fallen apart in recent years, reunited member Young Buck recently promised his band of brothers were built to win.

“Don’t look for the downfall of G-Unit,” the rapper said. “Cause you’ll be looking for a long God damn time. You understand? But looking for the success of G-Unit you’ll get what you want to see real quick. But looking for the downfall homie you gon’ be stuck…Don’t pray on our downfall or look for it. Look for the success. Look for the good music. Look for the positive energy. And that’s what you gon’ get. Because even if you ain’t looking for it that’s what you gon’ get.” (This Is 50)
