West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg makes his television comeback tonight (February 17) bringing along mega guests on his “Dogg After Dark” series premiere.
The “Dogg Father” is reportedly tagging along various stars for Tuesday’s show.
Hip-Hop artist/producer Pharrell, celebutante Paris Hilton, OG actor Fred “The Hammer” Williamson are among the stars that slide through and rub shoulders with the life of the party himself, Bigg Snoop Dogg. The debut episode also features performances by Snoop’s house band, The Snoopadelics and the first TV performance by rising Hip-Hop star Kid Cudi. (The Insider)
Tonight’s highlight will likely be Snoop’s freestyle with Hilton.
Paris begins her freestyle, “Yo whassup, My name is P Hizzle, I’m chillin in the clizzle with my homeboy Snoop Dizzle, he’s sexy, he’s fine, he is the man of our time. I love him …” In response to her lines, Snoop raps, “Sweet P! Ohhh wee!, Do it to ‘em Dogg After Dark baby gurl. Don’t stop, won’t stop, can’t stop. Look in yo eyes, look in my eyes, no surprise. ‘Sweet P’ and the D O Double G Yyyy.” (Ace Showbiz)
Airing on MTV, network executive Van Toffler expressed the company’s excitement to have the rapper on deck.
“Snoop has been a mainstay across MTV screens for over a decade by pushing the boundaries of hip-hop with his signature antics, incredible catalogue of music, legendary videos, larger than life personality and even a little controversy,” said Van Toffler, President, MTV Networks Music / Films / Logo Groups. “I can’t even begin to imagine MTV, my tumultuous career and several raging ulcers without the Dogg being such a big part of our history.” (Press Release)
Snoop’s weekly series will feature a combination of comedy-filled antics.
“Dogg After Dark” will bring his Doggystyle swagger to the airwaves featuring raw interviews with A-list celebrities, hilarious sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the hottest artists, plus Snoop’s own in-house band, the Snoopadelics will keep the party rocking all night long.
