Time’s Up: Birdman Gets Another Deadline To Pay Up

Music executive Jas Prince isn't looking to drop his legal suit against Cash Money Records head Birdman and dished on his suit this week.

New footage of Prince discussing his problems with Birdman surfaced Thursday (February 26).

The clock is ticking very loudly for Birdman — because the guy who discovered Drake says he’s done talking about the millions he’s owed for hooking up Cash Money with Drizzy. Jas Prince talked to us about the lawsuit he recently filed … as he was leaving Mr. Chow in Bev Hills. We asked if there’s been any progress with Birdman on the financial front, and it’s clear he — like Lil Wayne and Turk — doesn’t have much left to say about the debt. (TMZ)

Recently, ex-Cash Money artist Mannie Fresh spoke out on Lil Wayne going against Birdman.

“I think he’s going — real talk — ‘I could probably use Drake and Nicki, but I’ve done that so many times.’ “Let’s get out there and do things so I can show that I am bigger than life. He’s going to get somebody with star power that can bring other people to the table. If I did do a song and I got Justin Timberlake on it, I got Justin Timberlake fans as well. I think Wayne is starting to see it in that way. Hip hop can only bring you so far.” (AP)

Former Cash Money artist Turk spoke to SOHH earlier this month about his million dollar lawsuit against the label.

“The reason why I sued now is because I realized that me being loyal has gotten me nowhere in this business!! It’s my attorney’s decision that it was in my best interest to sue after several attempts to settle this matter privately. Now we wait for the next chapter!! Wodie.” (SOHH)

Recently, Turk talked to SOHH about Wayne’s issues with Cash Money.

“It is what it is, we don’t want no problems. We just want our money. That’s just the bottom line. It’s overdue. We’re all grownups and that’s what it’s about. [Lil] Wayne feels the same way. It’s all old news to me [with Wayne’s Cash Money problems]. It’s kind of like, yeah, it was just about when. It happened from the time when we left. When we left, people thought it was a publicity stunt then. You gotta sit back and see how it all turns out.” (SOHH)
