Proud to be a part of the Ricky Rozay showcase, Bowen also said hip-hop heads could look forward to seeing R&B star Jeremiah on-stage the same night.

“SFI Live is excited about promoting the Rick Ross concert,” Bowen told SOHH in a statement. “The streets of DC are going crazy because he is the hottest thing out right now. We’re also excited about having Jeremiah on the show. This show is going to be the kick-off for a great concert season.” (SOHH)

Ricky Rozay and Jeremiah are slated to appear in Washington, D.C. next week.

Hip-Hop mogul Rick Ross, one of the most consistent hit-makers in the music business, and ranked among Forbes’ list of hip-hop top earners, continues to keep stages across the country hot. The Island Def Jam artist and Founder of the Maybach Music Group empire, will take center stage as the headline act for one of the most anticipated concerts in DC. Presented by SFI Live LLC, the show will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at DAR Constitution Hall. Also featured on the show is Island Def Jam label-mate and R&B singer, Jeremih. The rap star’s last run in the D.C. area reportedly dates back nearly a year.

The Boss is playing DC this Spring, so is the Bawse. On Tuesday, Rick Ross announced he’ll play DAR Constitution Hall February 23. Ross is promoting new album “God Forgives…I Don’t,” which was described in the show’s press release as “his highly predictable upcoming fifth solo album.” Their words…not mine. Ticket information is not yet available. Ross was last in the region last March, when he performed at 1st Mariner Arena on Lil Wayne‘s American tour. (Baltimore Sun)

Recently, hitmaker Pharrell Williams highlighted Ross’ talents and why he can hold his own.

“That guy is an animal; he’s an animal with it. Lyrically, he’s crazy, and he’s just got a very distinct style, it’s his own,” P campaigned. “There were a lot of comparisons made at the beginning of his career, but along with the test of time, he’s proven that he’s his own person and he has his own paintbrush and his own colors. … He and I have something special too. We have a special record too, but we’re still working — I’m happy to be a part of it.” (MTV)
