Breaking the news on his Twitter page, Dream said his free LP drops August 31st.

“LP4 is Underway I THE-DREAM have decided to go forward with “Diary Of A Madman” LP it almost didnt happen. So ill be in my DefJam uniform…,” he tweeted August 1st.

“for atleast one More Season! Also a free 10 song Internet album will be released by Aug 31st. LP 4 because of the Contract negotiations…..”

“does not have a date but it will be released 4th quarter but i will give a 10 song Internet LP while you guys wait!!!! LOVE YOU.”

“The Internet LP is entitled ‘1977’ and will be released under my real name Terius Nash not The-Dream. Shooting Videos for 1977 all this week”

“The “TERIUS NASH EST. 1977″ is very personal and to my Fans!” (The-Dream’s Twitter)

Dream also made sure to let fans know Def Jam is against his viral move.

“BTW NO ONE AT DEFJAM IS HAPPY ABOUT A FREE ALBUM LOL…. they are trying to stop it!” (The-Dream’s Twitter)

In February, the hitmaker announced his return to music after previously revealing an intent to retire.

The-Dream might have claimed that last year’s Love King would be his final album, but it ain’t over yet. Last night at the premiere of Justin Bieber’s 3D documentary Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, the singer-songwriter revealed that his fourth album is in the works and should arrive by late summer. “Everybody’s calling for an album now, so I should have one out by August,” he told Quddus on the purple carpet. The “Baby” hitmaker is also burning with Bieber fever, sharing that he’s working on the teen idol’s next album alongside Danja, Kevin Cossom, and Kanye West. “We’ve actually been working on the next record, so I’ve been writing, just to get ready,” he said. Last year, Dream credited his retirement plan on fans’ lack of appreciation for his work.

“Nope, there’s not another album, this is it,” Dream said in an interview with Ms. Drama. “Nobody appreciates music so I’m out. I’m out. I’m good, so take that. Like [Jay-Z] said, maybe y’all will remember me when I fade to black. So it’s out.” (Ms Drama TV)
