G.O.O.D. Music's Teyana Taylor is only fueling expectations of a Cruel Winter compilation album to drop in the coming months, reaffirming labelmate Q-Tip's hints at the star-studded group effort.
While she would not go into much detail, Taylor did green light a follow-up to Cruel Summer is in store.
“Well, I mean, Q-Tip don’t lie. If it’s been a Cruel Summer, it’s definitely gonna be a cruel, Cruel Winter. But you ain’t hear that from me.” With three features on the crew’s recent release, Taylor also gushed about the success of the album. “We came second to Pink, and that was her huge comeback. Number one on the Hip-Hop charts. So I’m very, very excited about that, and excited to have as many placements on there that I do. I’m very excited and blessed and thankful.” (All Hip Hop)
In early October, G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor heated up the Internet with Cruel Winter talk.
“It’s been a cruel, cruel summer.,” she tweeted October 1st.

Last week, Q-Tip accidentally spilled the beans on the LP coming together.
“We’re just trying to do some next ‘ish, you know what I’m saying?,” Tip said in an interview when asked about working with Kanye West. “Look out for the Pusha T album, the Big Sean album’s coming up next. [Can you expect me on Cruel Winter?] Oh yeah, for sure. I can’t really, [laughs], let out too much details about it but yeah, I’ll be on it. Kanye had the plan for that, so look out.” (Hip Hop Since 1978)
A few weeks back, Tip broke the news of a possible follow-up being in the works.
After struggling to explain why he didn’t appear on CS, Tip, who was flanked by his G.O.O.D. cohort Pusha T, just spilled the beans. “I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag. Kanye’s probably gonna get…,” the former A Tribe Called Quest frontman said before stopping mid-sentence to call over Pusha T to help him with the big news. “If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right?” Q-Tip said, alluding that the G.O.O.D. crew will be following up with another album soon. “That’s all I’m saying.” (MTV)
