It’s been great at Strange Music. One thing about Strange, first of all, the label is just the dopest label out there as far as the touring game and the merchandise game. There’s so many people who sign major record deals and their albums never make it into stores.

Strange puts the effort to get their artists’ music out there. For me, it’s great because I have total creative control. I think it’s also a good thing that I’m not out there in Kansas City, Missouri and I’m here in Atlanta. I’m still doing my own thing and I bring a little something extra to Strange as well.

As far as going in a different direction, it’s been really great. I’ve just been loving being at the house that Tech N9ne built. I’ve been taking it all in. I have a close relationship with everyone on the label. I don’t talk to them everyday but we have great relationships.

I shot all of my music videos for the new album out there this time. I think I only did one of them in Atlanta. Strange did an amazing job. Everything is going great over there. Everything is good.

Of course it would be easier if we were up there in Kansas City instead of having to go through e-mails and take flights, but I think the pros outweigh the cons as far as expanding what Strange Music is and what I’m bringing to the table.

It’s been cool. Everything has worked out great.
