According to reports, the music duo will hit the road for nearly 100 days.

Independent rap superstar Tech N9ne is scheduled to make history and shatter records in 2012. The Strange Music maven is slated to headline the “Hostile Takeover 2012” Tour, which will launch in March and includes 90 shows in 99 days, making it the longest tour in rap history. It will make stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Baltimore, Denver and Seattle, among other cities. (Press Release)

Confirming the tour’s stretch, Tech released a statement on the history-making scheduled run.

“I started planting the seeds for this music thing to expand more than 10 years ago and to see it be recognized globally like this is a beautiful thing,” says Tech N9ne. “We started Strange Music so we could make the music we wanted to make and tour like we wanted to tour. Now, to be able to make history like this is a wonderful accomplishment.” (Statement)

Along with Machine Gun Kelly, Tech is also bringing along his Strang Music artists for the journey.

The tour will begin in March and last for 99 days, with 90 shows in total. Tech N9ne will headline and he’ll be joined by Machine Gun Kelly, Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, Prozak, and Stevie Stone. New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and many, many more stops will be included. (Complex)

Last year, film director Terrell Blair named Tech N9ne SOHH Underrated for his longevity and widespread appeal.

“With [him], I’m coming from a lyrical standpoint but I’m also coming from the business aspect of it. I say Tech N9ne in the sense that when it comes to the lyrical part of it, he’s an individual that was able to play with words. He was able to capture a market. He not only captured a market including people of color, but a market that includes rock, the white fans, the Asian fans. He wasn’t afraid to play with his words. He wasn’t afraid to take it to the dark side and get a feature from “this” type of artist or “that” type of artist. And look at his longevity. The fact that he’s able to tour year round is amazing. Look at his hunger. I talked to him recently and he said he’s still trying to capture more of the East Coast. They’re still looking to get a fan base here in New York and New Jersey. They’re still trying to do shows in New York.” (SOHH Underrated)
