[After recently storming London’s O2 Arena stage with Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky, Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods talks to SOHH about his admiration for rising Detroit rapper Dej Loaf and their “All Said and Done” collaboration.]

For me, I told her the same thing for people that ask me [about stage presence] this story. I went to college for a year, and I never thought that the things that I learned in that year I would use musically.

So when it’s like, 15-20,000 people, you don’t have to catch eye contact with everybody. Speaking on a podium and giving a lecture in class, I would just look at people’s foreheads and the tops of their heads and it looks like I’m looking at them.

So if you feel nervous, you do that. But if you don’t feel nervous, you come into your own, so, “Okay, I can stare at this person and their group of people, Taylor Gang, or whatever it is.”

So I learned that from college and transition. It’s small things.
