Based on one-day estimates, Tank’s new LP, which features a range of hip-hop collaborations, will easily debut on the sales chart next week.

Grammy-nominated Atlantic R&B singer-songwriter Tank’s This Is How I Feel, featuring collaborations with T.I., Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes, is on target for a 25-30k first week. The album, his fifth, is the follow-up to his 2010 label debut, Now or Never, which debuted with 44k in Dec. 2010. Tank’s collaboration on Chris Brown’s “Take My Time” earned him a nomination at last year’s Grammys in the “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals” category, which joined his eight career nominations to date. In addition to his own music, Tank has contributed vocals and helped pen hit records for the likes of Jamie Foxx, Keri Hilson and Chris Brown. (HITS Daily Double)

This marks his latest solo release in roughly two years.

This Is How I Feel is the follow-up to Tank’s 2010 Atlantic Records debut, “NOW OR NEVER,” which featured the lead singles, “Emergency” and “Sex Music,” as well as collaborations with Chris Brown (“Foreplay”) and Drake (“Celebration”). Adding this already impressive list, Tank’s collaboration on Chris Brown’s “Take My Time” earned him a nomination at last year’s Grammy Awards in the “Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals” category, which joined his 8 career nominations that he had to date. Recently, Tank talked to SOHH about his new T.I.-assisted “Compliments” remix.

“The record was already together. Me and Kris Stephens, we made it crazy. Then when they decided to re-release it as an official single, because it was a buzz record at first, I said we gotta make it an event. It would make sense to have someone who could deliver to the ladies, someone who could deliver sexy, deliver confidence, and that’s T.I. all day long. He’s a friend of the family, so it just made sense. We’re on the same level… I’m not going to that far to find somebody to fill this void. We have a superstar right here in house. He’s going to use that brother. He’s going to have to take us to the next level.” (SOHH Singled Out)

The music veteran also stressed how confident he was in Tip’s verse before even listening to it.

“We did our parts first, the song was already done and we just sent it to him and just let him find his way. When he sent it to me, he said “Tank, listen to it and tell me what you think about it.” I said “Man, I know I don’t have to listen to it. I know it’s crazy.” And when I heard “camel toe with no hair,” I said “Check please! We’re going to get outta here. We’re fine, we’re going to rock and roll with this.” And the rest is history.” (SOHH Singled Out)
