Over Memorial Day weekend, Canadian singer The Weeknd clocked in time alongside Puffy down in Miami.

Canadian singer The Weeknd may finally score a record deal all of his fans wished he would’ve gotten after his first mixtape. Drake, who is a frequent collaborator, hinted to MTV News that The Weeknd was fielding record deal offers from different labels. He wouldn’t say anything more other than the Weeknd was working on a label situation. Now a picture surfaces showing The Weeknd enjoying Memorial Day Weekend with none other than hip-hop mogul Diddy. The two were seen hanging out in Miami along with other random friends and Diddy’s special artist Cassie. (The Urban Daily)

Last month, Puffy and Weeknd kicked it together in the Big Apple.

This new friendship comes as no surprise. During the Bowery Ballroom, NYC stop of The Weeknd’s tour on April 28 Diddy and his entourage were seen visibly supporting singer. At one point, Diddy was literally on his feet in the VIP section, flailing his arms excitedly. Following that, Tesfaye tweeted,”shoutouts to the big homie @iamdiddy for showing me around new york last night.” Many insiders are speculating that Diddy is courting The Weeknd to join his Bad Boy family alongside French Montana and Cassie. Recently, Young Money’s Drake hinted at a potential partnership with the singer.

“As far as on paper, it’s all being worked out, but that’s not really what counts anyway,” Drizzy explained. “What counts to me is the fact that the affiliation is so known, and that’s all I really care about. I want to continue being involved in his career and vice versa and keep making music together, because you take songs like ‘Crew Love’ and ‘The Zone’ and that’s what people wait all night to hear.” (MTV)

Last summer, Drizzy boasted over his fellow Canadian’s unmatched talent.

“Not only did he inspire me to get out there and sing better on stage, he inspired me writing wise, music wise, just to better my product,” Drake explained in an interview. “He’s on my album a lot. We really collaborated a lot on this album…He’s one of the greatest artists I’ve ever heard. To hear someone with an incredible body of work is very rare. It’s very inspiring. We formed OVOXO, which is taking over right now. I’m proud of him. He works real hard. He’s just an incredible person, [has] become a really close friend to me.” (The Juice)
