Video vixen Tahiry Jose has come forward to speak on making viral headlines last month after an emotional video featuring her and ex-boyfriend Joe Budden airing out their past relationship woes hit the Internet.
Admitting they haven’t linked again romantically, Tahiry claims she and Budden are still very close.
“Me and Joe, we’re at that space where from time to time we fall in and out of our friendship. He didn’t pop up this time. We’re not at the space where we’re disliking each other. We have conversations, which is what happened in that clip. We’re able to sit today and just talk sometimes as two human beings who were together for a long time. Because he was in my life a long time, pretty much in that age range where you’re growing up with somebody, we have conversations. We go times without speaking, where I disagree how he runs his life and he might disagree with mine. Then, there’s times when we get back and it’s like, ‘How are you?’ We always manage to, [no matter] whatever’s happening, check up on each other. That day was pretty much having a conversation about relationships and what went wrong.” (XXL Mag)
Tahiry also went on to discuss the video segment where she asks Budden to court her.
“That was pretty much clearing it up because…clearly, men and women are in two separate zip codes. We speak two different languages. I meant every word I said on that clip. It’s pretty much me explaining to him why we got to where we got to today or two, three years ago when we broke up. It’s explaining to men that it’s important for them to do things for their woman. It doesn’t matter if she’s crazy independent…little things matter to keep a relationship alive. Showing that you care and not forgetting what was there. Him laughing and still not thinking about how he moved in the past was wrong. A lot of men go through that. They’re like, ‘I know you!’ Well, the reason why you know me is you’ve done somethings in the past that you’ve seemed to have forgotten and this is why things fade. It was general conversation about what men tend to forget that women need.” (XXL Mag)

In this latest installment of Joe’s ever-honest and beloved video clips, this couple (who seem as if they may make-up sooner than later) discusses courtship, delves into the ills of their past and bicker about what’s to come. It’s clear, however, that Mr. Mood Muzik wants to remain close to his ex-lady but struggles with building the romance any further. But beyond the issues that these two need to resolve, a lot of Vixens can relate to Tahiry’s outcry. After being with Mr. Wrong, it always takes Mr. Nice Guy to show you exactly how a man is supposed to get down. Sadly, that love for Mr. Wrong never falters. Tahiry’s point was to explain how much the little things — opening doors, honesty, taking out the trash, respect, wining and dining at nice restaurants, etc — are what all women deserve but some are usually not witnessing. After ending their five-year relationship, Budden spoke on parting ways with Jose in early 2010.
“I don’t have a tattoo of any females name on me, any females picture on me,” Budden said in an interview. “No [I didn’t hit her]. She got mushed, I mushed the sh*t out of her f*cking a**. And I think she was asking to get mushed. No [she didn’t hit me first], because she was dead caught cheating and I was fresh off tour and I was like, ‘What’s up?’ You’re caught, you’re busted. Evidence? You wanna hear some good sh*t? I really am uncomfortable talking about this sh*t, because I don’t like talking about her, period…she was wildin’ and I’m big on body language — I came home and she was wildin’, she drinks. She drinks every night — she was drunk, she was wildin’, we got in a big argument, I found out she was cheating after she went to sleep — I did go to check her phone…That led to something else to something else — where the evidence was laying on the bed next to her, clear as day.
