Video vixen-turned-singer Tahiry Jose has the Internet paying close attention after putting her ex-boyfriend/rapper Joe Budden on blast with a suggestive Instagram photo.
In the newly released image, Joe is shown holding onto Tahiry’s hand with an accompanying mocking caption.
Joe Budden and his model ex-girlfriend, Tahiry, have had a troubled relationship over the years. The former Love & Hip Hop stars have feuded in public in the past with Joe Budden recently taking to Instagram in a video to mock his sad feelings over the breakup. Responding to Budden’s video, Tahiry posted a meme on Instagram making fun of the rapper’s dramatics. On Sunday night, she posted a photo with a caption, “That Moment N*ggas Realise What they Had” to the social media site. Tahiry also made a recent appearance at Cipha Sounds‘ Take It Personal Hip Hop improv show last Friday where she shared a story of punching a woman in the face fo texting naked photos to her ex-boyfriend Budden. Rather than jump the gun, Budden downplayed the incident when asked about it by a Twitter follower.
“Nah, I love her. RT @OnlyRaptured: @JoeBudden Tahiry is tweeting about you bro, send a quick 16 at her so she knows,” he tweeted September 22. (Joe Budden’s Twitter)
Earlier this year, Budden revealed he was single and not interested in rushing into another serious relationship just yet.
“It didn’t definitively tell very much,” Budden said of the show’s season finale when he appeared on “RapFix Live” on Wednesday. “It ended with Tahiry and I trying to co-exist, trying to see if we can do that successfully. It didn’t end in a relationship with Tahiry.” Budden understands why many fans who saw Monday’s show on VH1 came away thinking that he and Tahiry had reunited officially — after all, they did take a trip to the Dominican Republic together and lay in bed with one another. “I would never do that. I would never jump from one relationship directly into another. Though it may have appeared that way, that’s not what happened,” he said. “I’m single and celibate,” he declared to “RapFix” host Sway Calloway. (MTV)
In March, Tahiry also denied the Budden romance rumors.
“No, don’t believe the hype,” Tahiry said when asked if she and Budden are back together. “Don’t believe the hype. Like I said, you guys, don’t believe the hype but you guys should tune in Monday night at 8 on VH1. [Me and Joe blog rumors?] What else is new? Like I said, you can’t believe everything you read. [Him and Kaylin breaking up and us getting back together?] That’s something you should ask Joe about — me and Joey are not back together. I’m going to let you guys know that right now.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Back in 2009, Tahiry addressed their publicized break-up after a solid 5 years together.
“I just feel like — I’m never going to speak bad about Joey,” Tahiry promised. “I love him. Five years. It was a long time. We were just growing apart. We were not in the same zip codes. I just didn’t feel like after five years we were building that foundation together. For a long time it was, ‘Joe, Joe, Tahiry, Tahiry.’ When it was beneficial, it was Joe and Tahiry. But you know after five years, you’re supposed to feel like you’re building something. I didn’t feel like we were building anything…I dated one other rapper [Ed. note–that would be Fabolous]. We’re very good friends now, contrary to belief. Very good friends. Remember after that I said, ‘Ugh! Never a rapper!’ Not because he was bad, because it was a lot. People think it’s easy. All glitz and glamour, but it’s not that easy. Then Joey came. And when he came, it wasn’t supposed to happen, but I’m glad it did. I’m not interested in dating anyone right now. But I’m not saying never say never because you know sh*t happens” (Complex)
