Although Young Money's Nicki Minaj has admitted to her infatuation with reality show "Jersey Shore" in the past, former auto-tune hitmaker T-Pain has gone the extra mile by comparing his lifestyle to that of popular cast member Snooki.
In Pain’s eyes, he and Snooki experience the same types of criticism.
T-Pain takes his haters to task in the second part of his interview with Rap-Up TV. The Auto-Tune master, whose fourth album rEVOLVEr was released earlier this month, explained why he has so many haters. “People feel like what I’m doing is easy,” he said. “They feel like you don’t have to write a good song to have a smash.” Pain even compared himself to “Jersey Shore” star Snooki. “How many people hate Snooki? Snooki’s rich. [They] ain’t saying nothing about that. She got rich for being Snooki, but she rich and you can’t do nothing about it ’cause you sitting at home blogging about how much you hate somebody that’s rich.” (Rap-Up)
Earlier this year, Snooki got at R&B singer Ne-Yo for questioning her credentials to appear on a Rolling Stone magazine cover.
It didn’t take long for the pint-size party girl, 23, to fire back. “I was just really upset,” she told UsMagazine.com at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas Sunday night. “I’m a big fan of Ne-Yo. Every song was on my iPod and I deleted them yesterday just because of his comments.” She went on, “Why do you hate me? I’m the nicest person ever. I understand you are a little mad cause your career is not up right now and I’m on the cover but you know what–like I’m a nice person and I deserve it, so get over it.” (Us Magazine)
Ne-Yo previously clarified his issues with the iconic magazine’s current cover girl.
“I don’t know her so I can’t disrespect her, but I feel like Rolling Stone is a music magazine,” he explained in an interview. “And for them to put her on the cover, it’s like, ‘Really?'” (E! News)
Last January, Snooki revealed Nicki Minaj is a huge fan of “Jersey Shore.”
“The most recent [unexpected fan] would probably be [rapper] Nicki Minaj,” Snooki revealed in an interview. “I met her at Salute the Troops for VH1 and she was backstage and I was like, ‘I really want to meet her!’ And they went up to her and she was like, ‘Yeah I want to meet Snooki’, so, you know, we kind of like hit it off. She’s a big fan of the show.” (CNN)
