According to Pain, the solo project is slated to drop next month.

T-Pain also shed some light on the progress of his latest album “RevolveR,” commenting that physical recording wrapped up last Wednesday and that the project was now in its mixing and mastering phase. The album, which T-Pain says should be out some time in April, will feature less in the way of collaboration than some of his previous releases. “I tried to keep it light this time because a lot of people were saying my other albums were only as good as they were because of the features,” he says. “So I’m gonna try to run the test on it this time.” (Billboard)

He recently said a collaboration with country singer Carrie Underwood was vital.

“It’s fun to work with Slash,” T-Pain said in an interview earlier this year, “but kind of embarrassing because no one knows who I am. But, I think it’s cool as f*ck. Next person I want to work with, and I won’t work with anyone else until I get her, is Carrie Underwood. Everyone else can suck it until I get to Carrie.” (The Boom Box)

Last year, Pain said his duet project with Lil Wayne was still in the works.

Well, according to T-Pain, the duo have managed to knock out a solid block of tracks so far. That’s progress. “We got 12 songs right now,” Pain said in an interview. “We going slow, there’s no rush. It can come out whenever. We’re gonna keep it pushing, however. It’s gonna be pushed.” (MTV)

He currently oversees the operations of Nappy Boy Entertainment.

Nappy Boy, it’s 2000-and-win we’re in right now, we’re making the movement known, doing it quietly,” Pain said in an interview. “Letting everybody know when we come it’s gonna be a big blast, it ain’t gonna be like, ‘Oh they hot, oh they’re getting even hotter,’ it ain’t gonna be like that, it’s gonna be like ‘Wow, they super hot!’ Nappy Boy Digital is a digital company, basically based on the Internet, it’s on iTunes and not really a physical company, you know what I’m saying? A lot of people are pressing up all these CDs and pressing up all these extra jewel cases and the inserts and and all that stuff and then everybody’s buying the stuff on the Internet so it’s not making them any money, they losing money, so, Nappy Boy Digital is my digital company, it’s all Internet and that’s just how we go.” (Access Vibe)
