Tip and Minaj went to Instagram Sunday (April 16) to speak out on murder suspect Steven Stephens.

Cleveland Police have confirmed that a video posted to Facebook showing an elderly man being shot is legitimate. The video was posted Sunday by a Facebook user going by the name “Stevie Steve,” who has been identified by police as Steve Stephens. (Heavy)

The murder victim’s family has since spoken out on the shooting’s horrific aftermath.
The family of Robert Godwin Sr., the man killed by Steven Stephens Sunday afternoon in Cleveland, Oh., is speaking out about their beloved family member. “This man right here was a good man. I just hate that he’s gone,” Robert Godwin Jr. told WOIO-TV in Cleveland. (The Root)
A Facebook representative has also addressed the dramatic attention the mega platform has received.
“This is a horrific crime and we do not allow this kind of content on Facebook,” a spokesperson for the social media giant said in a statement. “We work hard to keep a safe environment on Facebook, and are in touch with law enforcement in emergencies when there are direct threats to physical safety.” (Fox News)
I’m tired of watching tragedies on Facebook live. As much as it is good for sharing stuff with your friends, its used too much as a platform for crazy people to get the attention they seek. Imagine seeing a livestream of the Columbine shootings. Watching this man shot for no reason broke my heart. My condolences to his family and anyone else this nut may have killed.
