Grammy-winning rapper T.I.‘s feud with undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. may have reached new heights with the release of his new song “Am I Wrong” remix Monday (September 1). The self-proclaimed “King of the South” appears to hint at his feud with Money Mayweather on the new record.

On Monday (September 1), the Grand Hustle CEO released a remix of “Am I Wrong,” by Norwegian duo Nico & Vinz, as part of DJ MLK’s new mixtape, Goodnight Don’t Exist In ATL, and it sure sounds like Tip takes a little time out to address situation between him and Mayweather. “Check my record, n—a, never have I backed down/ Really undefeated in the real world, clown,” he raps at one point; Mayweather, of course, is undefeated in his boxing career. Recently, Mayweather suggested his recent publicized confrontations may have boiled down to relevancy.

Rappers Nelly, 50 Cent and T.I. all have chided Mayweather since the pound-for-pound king’s last fight — in interviews, via social media, and in person — primarily over who’s dating whom, and if so why. “I don’t really focus on nothing like that,” Mayweather said. “I’m relevant. I’m relevant. My life is the (expletive). I’m something to talk about.” (MLive)

T.I. recently admitted his problems with Floyd dated back past May.

“There was history. There was definitely history,” Tip said in an interview. “I don’t care what you do to whoever else. I don’t care who you speak to, how you speak to them. You dealing with me you gonna deal with me like a man. I feel like my steps are guided, man. I’m a man of God. When I step I ain’t got nobody to fear, but God himself. I don’t got no fire I can’t walk through. I done been through it all.” (Hot 97)

Tip initially relied on his Instagram page to dismiss reports of enduring physical harm to his face when a Mayweather fight story first broke out.

“They said I’ve got two black eyes. Where they at, though? These ones I’m looking at? Is they black for real? D*mn, been like that all my life. F*cked my hand up. That’s about it. [laughs],” Tip said in a video followed by the caption “Two black what?????? C’mon now. Never in da history of Nigga-dom. But nice try tho. Lol” (T.I.’s Instagram)
