While he would not take full credit, Tip said he spoke to Jeezy about hooking up with Ricky Rozay.

“I ain’t gonna say I brokered peace and got them in the studio, I simply said to one of my closest partners in the game — Young Jeezy — I simply said to him, ‘We done did as much as we can do with this. It’s gone as far as we can take it, ain’t nothing else to do’,” he told MTV News on Tuesday while he was driving up to Los Angeles. (MTV)

The “King of the South” also shared some thoughts on the rappers’ new “War Ready” anthem.

“If it ain’t nothing that can’t be talked about, that hasn’t gone so far that a motherf–ker can’t come back and do what the f— we do man, get money. War costs money,” Tip said. “Young ain’t the type of mother—er you can just tell what to do, but if you can present something that makes more sense then what he had, go on, he will give you the opportunity to make it make sense to him. And I think the same for Ross. They exhausted all of their other possible opportunities.” (MTV)

Despite a publicized rift between one another over these last few years, recent reports revealed Tip spoke to the “Snowman” to remind him about the importance of business affairs.

You’ll recall … the Ross/Jeezy beef goes way back … and got nuclear at the BET Hip Hop Awards two years ago when the two rappers tangled backstage and shots were fired in the parking lot. Sources close to both men tell TMZ those days are gone — as is the bad blood — all thanks to T.I., who had a kumbaya moment with Jeezy. T.I. told us he had a heart-to-heart with Jeezy and got him to see he had taken his eye off the ball. He was focusing on bad blood rather than what was important — MAKING MONEY. Jeezy saw the light and Rick ended up seeing things the same way. (TMZ)

With Ricky Rozay’s Mastermind dropping next month, diehard fans were treated to an early listening of the song last week.

Enemies become friends on “War Ready.” Rick Ross joins forces with former rival Jeezy on the new single off his upcoming album Mastermind. The MMG boss and CTE captain turn their feud into an explosive seven-minute collaboration, produced by Mike WiLL Made It. Due March 4, Mastermind also features appearances from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, The Weeknd, Big Sean, Meek Mill, Scarface, and more. (Rap-Up)
