T.I. Ready To Unload Trouble, “I Got A Lot Of Ammunition; I’m About To Start Shootin'”

Grammy-winning rapper T.I. recently discussed his upcoming Trouble Man LP and said fans should buckle in for a very hot summer filled with heat bangers.

With a few singles like “I’m Flexin'” and “Hear Ye” already receiving mainstream attention, Tip promised more fire to come.

The album isn’t due until September 4, but T.I. is ready to start making a push to get his eighth LP ready for release. “You know, I’m really just getting warmed up, man,” he told MTV News backstage at ATL’s Philips Arena. “I got a lot of ammunition; I’m about to start shootin’. I’m just getting warmed up, just look forward to it.” Already, Tip has dropped the rock-tinged “I’m Flexin’ ” and the Pharrell-assisted “Hear Ye, Hear Ye.” Whether those two tracks will make the final cut remains to be seen. As of right now, the more female-friendly “Love This Life” is being touted as Trouble Man’s first single, but we’re pretty sure fans can expect some pretty gritty material from the King of the South. Last month, Tip revealed his LP is headed to retail stores in early September.

Trouble is brewing for T.I. The Grand Hustle chief has announced a release date for his eighth album Trouble Man. During his visit to Angie Martinez‘ radio show on Tuesday, Tip revealed that the follow-up to 2010’s No Mercy will drop on September 4. “Look forward to those summertime anthems that we’ve grown to love about T.I.,” he previously told Fuse of the project, which has spawned the singles “Love This Life” and “Like That.” (Rap-Up)

Recently, producer Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph hit up SOHH to discuss Tip’s new album.

“I think what we want to do is transcend and introduce a musically mature T.I.,” Sak Pase told SOHH. “I think he’s accomplished a lot with the T.I. we already know him for. Obviously his new album will have the classic T.I. records where it may be a great female record but musically, I think it may not be time to try something different but kind of mature the music a little bit more plus add a bit more sophistication to who he already is. People don’t really regard Southern artists as lyricists or true emcees or sophisticated. So I think he has an opportunity to do that now. He’s done Trap Muzik which was very successful and I think now it’s an opportunity to try something different. I want to be able to say that Tip is venturing out into different types of music and elements that could spark a different kind of light.” (SOHH)

While the “King” has platinum albums to his name, he recently dished out plans to leave the rap game sooner than later.

“This is what everyone fails to realize. I want out. I want out, man. What the game is going to and what has evolved into from a personality standpoint, it goes against what I represent. What I embody, this game contradicts that. So I want out. I’m in it because I love music and I have obligations contractually.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
