Speaking with radio personality Angie Martinez, Tip said Drizzy could easily push out around 500,000 records in a week time span.

“I’m confident in my man,” T.I. said about Drake’s first-week. “I think if 500 [thousand] was the over, under, I would take the over. Given his potential and his presence, I would. I think that’s safe, that’s a safe bet. He hasn’t put out a dud yet. He hasn’t put out a dud, not even as a feature, so I think that warrants about a half [a million].” (Hot 97)

Drake recently said he was unfazed by record sales with his first album.

Drake made this album for music lovers, not for the Billboard charts. “I didn’t make this album for commercial purposes. A lot of the verses are extremely long. I just made it to share with people. I hope they can enjoy.” (Rap-Up)

His album’s tracklisting was released online earlier this month.

1. Fireworks (Feat. Alicia Keys) (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib) 2. Karaoke (Produced by Francis & The Lights) 3. The Resistance (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib) 4. Over (Produced by Boi-1da) 5. Show Me A Good Time (Produced by Kanye West) 6. Up All Night (Feat. Nicki Minaj) (Produced by Boi-1da) 7. Fancy (Feat. TI and Swizz Beatz) (Produced by Swizz Beatz) 8. Shut It Down (Feat. The Dream) (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib and Omen) 9. Unforgettable (Feat. Young Jeezy) (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib and Boi-1da) 10. Light Up (Feat. Jay-Z) (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib and Tone Mason) 11. Miss Me (Feat. Lil Wayne) (Produced by Boi-1da and Noah “40” Shebib) 12. Cece’s Interlude (Produced by Noah “40” Shebib) 13. Find Your Love (Produced by Kanye West) 14. Thank Me Now (Produced by Timbaland) (All Things Fresh)

Earlier this year, Drake discussed his Jay-Z “Light It Up” collaboration.

“It’s just me and Jay both rapping on it for an extended period of time,” Drake said in an interview. “It’s real rap. It’s real rap. I do sing on it, but it’s just on the hook — but it’s rap. It’s great. The perspective, the dynamic on the track — it’s me and Jay’s relationship on the song, basically. When you hear it, people will be like, ‘Oh man.’ That’s how we are — just the two. He definitely has guided me a lot, as far as his words and his advice. We have a real funny rapport. I always enjoy my conversations with Jay. It’s good.” (MTV)

Drake’s Thank Me Later is scheduled to drop Tuesday, June 15th.
