According to Tip, he decided to get himself involved in Snoop’s war of words once the issue turned serious.

“I stepped in when it became a public topic of discussion,” T.I. explained. “When it stopped being between two people and it was being observed by the world, and it was almost like people were tuning in just to see what was happening next. Me and Snoop have a long-standing personal and professional relationship. I have a huge amount of admiration, love and respect for him and for what he’s done for the game — for people like me to be able to do what we do — and when I called him it was a very, very, very cordial, respectful [conversation].” (MTV)

According to Tip, it did not take much for Snoop to end the dispute.

“He immediately said he knew what I was calling about and just assured me [that it was] nothing to even worry about. It’s over with. And we started talking about something else immediately.” (MTV)

Hustle Gang’s Iggy Azalea jumped onto Twitter last week to accept Snoop’s apology for the publicized feud he sparked.

Snoop posted an apology video to his Instagram page to explain his sudden change of heart last Wednesday (October 15).

“Boys and girls, I just got off the phone with my homeboy Tip, the King of Atlanta and it’s officially over. No more bad talk. I apologize. Yeah. I apologize. I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.” (Snoop Dogg’s Instagram)

In a diss clip, Snoop sent a direct warning to Iggy and her NBA boyfriend Nick Young.

“Say b*tch, you’re f*cking with the wrong n*gga,” Snoop said in the clip. “And your n*gga better check you before I do. Phony b*tch. Yeah you. You f*cking c*nt. [laughs],” Snoop said in an Instagram clip October 15. (Snoop Dogg’s Instagram)

  1. I wasn’t even that serious. I don’t know why Snoop had to make a public apology. Shawty can’t take a joke????? I don’t see these dudes apologizing when they diss sistas. How long has black female celebrities been the butt of jokes??????

      • What you mean y’all? Don’t put all of us in the same category. Maybe that’s what you do. Of course every race got hoes. You think white men don’t call certain white women hoes, bitches etc. It’s about respecting women overall and I respect sistas to the fullest. You don’t know me so I don’t care what you say honestly.

      • Not at all. I mean look at the russian dude that just called the Williams sisters the Williams “brothers”. Come on now. I just want our people to be more respected that is all.

        • Well, I can respect that point of view.

Personally, I think you gotta be able to laugh about that, but I guess to each his own.

          • I don’t think Snoop getting at Iggy with the pics was that serious. That’s what got me. She couldn’t take a joke. It was all in good fun. What surprised me was the uproar and the apology Snoop had to give about it. Especially since sistas get closed all the time. Way more then white women actually. Celebrity or not. All i’m saying is be fair with the apologies. I’m sure the Williams sisters won’t be getting one. To each his own tho like you said.

          • “I’m sure the Williams sisters won’t be getting one” Right. Then the duty is on society to ostracize and stigmatize the guy who made the comment. Did someone intervene the way TI did? I doubt it, but that should have been the case and if he chooses not to apologize then we should punish him for it. Snoop did the right thing, this Russian dude needs to be called out though.

          • I don’t think T.I. stepped in. I think the real shot callers checked Snoop. That’s my personal opinion. Snoop knew who Iggy was down with. He still went in on her. To me the T.I. making him apologize is BS. The Russian dude is being called out but he already said he isn’t gonna apologize. I already expressed my views on other posts so it is what it is.

          • But u not getting me. If ye decides not to apologize that doesnt mean there’s a double standard because he did get called out just like Snoop did. The Russian dude just chose to be immature and childish about it. So how the person called out responds to public pressure is not the issue. The issue is if a white dude was disrespectful towards sisters would people call him out and demand an apology the way they did Snoop and it looks like they did.

    • i think the apology was owed when he got upset that she responded to him and he just got real personal with his comments afterwards. If TI didnt have a convo with him i would like to believe he would have realized he has a young daughter and apologized on his own. And i totally agree with you that we should hold our own to such apologies, cause he did the same thing with Fantasia about her dark skin and there was no outrage or apology.

      • Was the apology really owed? I don’t know. To me it wasn’t that serious. Especially for a public apology. She couldn’t take the initial joke anyway so she was sensitive from the giddy up. Plus I believe it was really the check writers that got involved and made Snoop apologize because you know they don’t want us clowning white women. Some may disagree but that’s my opinion. It always good to make us blacks look bad. Not other races tho. I’m not even gonna get into the dudes clowning the dark skin sistas because the you know how that go. Some Russian official just called Venus and Serena the Williams brothers. And dig this…..He says he’s not gonna apologize!!!!!! lol.

        • I totally agree with you I personally just couldnt take him calling her a bitch and a cunt repeatedly as a joke. Plus I remember when he talked about Fantasia and thought maybe he just really doesnt care how he speaks of women.

Serena and Venus have been going thru that since they started sadly as kids and the media makes Serena out to be angry….she has no choice shes been hated on due to her race for so long the media rarely acknowledges that about them. They prolly will now cause its someone from another country smh

          • I don’t remember him calling her a b***h but didn’t she call him a a$$hole or something??? The initial picture was a joke. She should of just took it on the chin and kept it moving. Would it have been the same reaction if Snoop was clowning Lil Mama or Mary J? I doubt it. America has to check the negro tho. Just like everything that looks bad on us is beautiful on other races. Obviously S&V have been through alot. Dark skin sistas always get clowned. It’s unfortunate. Even though they are accomplished and have done wonders in sports it doesn’t stop them from being put down. The russian dude comments are getting attention but he already stated he isn’t gonna apologize so there you go. The white girl gets the apology and the more accomplished black women gets an ass to kiss.

          • again….we are in agreement!!! but i think his last video he went in on her with the name calling and really something SERIOUS. if it was MJB i personally woulda started an Internet petition cause im a MJB stan 🙂

but the dark skin thing is so sad and will never go away. its a sad generational mental capacity that may never be cured. that Dark Girls movie/docu makes me upset just thinking about it and media is no help, which is another long story in itself!

          • We’ll disagree about Snoop owing Iggy an apology. We’ll differ there. If it was Mary it wouldn’t of been a big deal because no one cares when we disrespect each other. Anyway I seen the documentary. It was great. It could go away if we start taking more pride in ourselves and stop letting people dictate what’s beautiful. We are a group of beautiful people. Light skin, dark skin we’re all black. Once we realize that and display more unity. We will be alright.

          • i hope youre right about the dark skin thing. the doc was great as far as insight but it was uncomfortable to watch those kids with those thoughts and most importantly the adults. hoping it doesnt rub off on the kids the have to raise if they dont have any already.

        • Not in a joking way he said she wouldnt be successful because of her dark skin and some other things couple years ago. Not sure what perspective he was speaking from but it was something to that effect

          • There mght be some truth to that though. These industries don’t care for darker complexioned Black men and women the way they do the likes of Beyonce. That’s not a diss, that’s a critique on America’s flawed perceptions of beauty rooted in eurocentric idolization.

  2. GTFOH . . so why did iggy respond back via social media and make it a bigger deal than it was . . she could of just asked tip to speak to snoop n handle that.

  3. Categorizing the Animosity between Snoop and Iggy as “Beef” is such an Understatement. I Respect Tip for having her back and Calming the Dogg down but come onnnn dont call what they had “Beef”. That’s Lame Bruhhhh!
