Fans hoping to get their hands on Swizz Beatz's Haute Living LP may be in luck as the producer has clarified recent remarks suggesting the project has been completely scrapped.

While he does not envision the project dropping on a set date, Swizzy plans to unveil the album on a track-by-track basis.

“Let me clarify: Haute Living is still coming, but as far as releasing all on one day, I’m not doing that no more,” he said. “I want to just drop singles from Haute Living instead of ‘I’m coming on September 13.’ I’m like, ‘You know what? Let me make every song an event, instead of just that one day being an event.'” (MTV)

The producer said his new approach is the result of wanting to embark on a new marketing concept.

“I want to change the whole mind-set of the way I do things as an album, but Haute Living is definitely coming. I’m just tired of doing things traditional. My whole concept of life is just to do things nontraditional, making new rules. Sky’s not the limit — it’s just a view.” (MTV)

Swizzy recently said the project would not be released as a typical album.

“As far as my project, which is no longer an album, it’s gonna be a lot of great moments for music,” Beatz revealed in an interview. “That’s the reason why I decided not to even do an album no more and just create moments. If it ain’t Bono and Kanye [West] alone on ‘Skyscrapers’ it’s out of hand. Me, [Lil] Wayne and Lenny Kravitz on ‘Rock N Roll.’ It makes no sense. My plan is to, in five years from now, be ten times as more successful.” (Punchbowl Blog)

In May, Beatz announced an incentive to drop the project on his birthday.

“Monster Mondays was a warm-up for people to understand that I’m doing things different,” Beatz said about releasing new musicon a weekly basis. “So when we get into my album Haute Living, which I’m dropping on my [birthday] September 13th, people, when they hear the track with me, Bono and Kanye [West] they can be prepared for it. When they hear the track with me, Lenny Kravitz and Lil Wayne, they can be prepared for it.” (BBC Radio)
