Suge Knight On The Run From Police

Former Death Row Records owner Marion “Suge” Knight has reportedly been on the run from police since a warrant for his arrest was issued late last month.

According to reports, Knight has been wanted by Los Angeles authorities since November 23rd.

There’s another warrant out for Suge Knight’s arrest — which probably doesn’t surprise you … or him. According to documents obtained by TMZ, a $40,000 bench warrant was issued for Suge’s arrest on November 23 after he failed to show up to court in L.A. to deal with two traffic tickets. The docs show Suge was popped for driving with a suspended license and running a stop sign on September 23. (TMZ)

Last July, Knight was issued an arrest warrant for missing a court appearance after being taken down by cops on a suspended license charge two months prior.

Knight, whose real name is Marion Hugh Knight, was detained in Gardena around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Nearly a half-dozen officers surrounded Knight’s white Cadillac Escalade in the area of Crenshaw Blvd. and 147th Street. He was then placed in handcuffs and taken into custody. It was not immediately known why Knight was detained. He was reportedly being held at the LAPD’s Southwest Divison. (CT Now)

Outside of the warrant, Knight has reportedly appealed a $1 million case against rap star Kanye West.

Rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight has filed an appeal against a judge’s decision to dismiss his long-running legal battle with Kayne West over a 2005 shooting in a Florida nightclub. The Death Row Records founder took West to court after the incident, in which he was shot in the leg, claiming he would not have been injured if the Stronger hitmaker had hired better security for the Miami Beach party. The suit was officially tossed out in early November.

A federal judge in Miami has tossed out a lawsuit filed by rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight against hip-hop star Kanye West over a 2005 shooting. In Thursday’s order, the judge concluded there’s no evidence that a shooting at the party was foreseeable. The case was set for trial next month. West’s attorney, Adam Josephs, says the suit was ill-conceived from the beginning, adding he was gratified the court agreed. (Associated Press)
