According to Soulja Boy, his first book will land on shelves this July.

“My book is entitled Teenage Millionaire and it drops July 28, 2010, the same day as my album drops,” Soulja Boy said in an interview. “What really made me write this book, I really just sat down and looked at what I did. I made my first million dollars when I was 16 years-old. I came from a place where a lot of people really don’t make it out to see the things that I saw across the world. I just want to be able to tell all the people how I did it and because people don’t know the whole story. And not only that, I know there’s a lot of adults that look at me and admire me for doing it at such a young age — I go deep into the book about all that because I know there’s a lot of people who went to school, high school and college and still not really did nothing and it’s really like, it really don’t matter how old you are. Like, you can be any age and attain anything that you want to long as you got enough knowledge to do it…” (Billboard)

Initial reports about the book landed online earlier this year.

HipHopRX.com has learned that Soulja Boy, who we all know as Soulja Boy Tell Em the rapper, will soon be known as Soulja Boy Tell Em the rapper/author as the self-made teen millionaire will soon be releasing his first book. Soulja Boy, born DeAndre Cortez Way on July 28, 1990, has written his first book — Teenage Millionaire — on being a teen millionaire. The book “Teenage Millionaire (DeAndre Way)” is set to be released none other than on Soulja Boy’s birthday, July 28, 2010. (Hip Hop RX)

The rapper is currently putting together his new solo album, Dre.

“This one, my lyrics are better, my lyrics are on another level,”Soulja Boy said in an interview. “My beats are on another level. I’m richer. I look better and I’m more successful, it’s an upgrade. I been in the studio with Kanye, rocking. I haven’t been in the studio with Rihanna yet, but she said she wants to get something done. Shouts out to Drake, been in the studio with Drake. Been in the studio with Nicki Minaj, I got something. Shouts out to Trey Songz, I was just in the studio with him. I got something on there. Ray J, Snoop Dogg, that’s about it.” (BET)

He recently talked about choosing lesser-known producers for his projects.

“I usually produce all of my own records,” he revealed in an interview. “My most successful record was 100-percent me–I wrote and produced it. I’ve been producing for myself and I’m starting to get more respect; having parties reach out and ask me for beats. I want to change up my thing a bit and I know even with the talent I got, there are some things that I can’t do that other producers can bring to the table…I keep my ear to the street. I like to play it by ear and I don’t rate another producer because of his stats. If I hear a hot beat in the street that I can get versus a wack beat from a hot named producer; which one I’ma do?” (XXL Mag)
