Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em has apologized to millions of Twitter followers this week after making headlines for a publicized arrest on drugs and weapons possession.
Resorting to Twitter, Soulja Boy apologized for what went down Tuesday (October 18).
“aye can I have a real n*gga moment? my fans was DEEP AS F*CK OUTSIDE THAT JAIL MAN IM SORRY!!! thats love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,” he tweeted early Wednesday. (Soulja Boy Tell Em’s Twitter)
Reports claim Soulja Boy’s camp posted bond for him to get released.
Soulja and his crew, who were said to be “very cordial” and cooperative with police, were taken to the Carroll County jail, where they were booked for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in commission of a crime. Soulja Boy was arrested early this morning for weed possession … and law enforcement sources tell TMZ cops allegedly found a TON of weed and cash during the arrest. The 21-year-old rapper — real name DeAndre Cortez Way — was popped early this morning by Temple Police Department officers in Temple, GA at 3:15 AM. A local police spokesperson confirmed the bust and said weapons were also discovered.
Temple Police spokeswoman officer Dana Rampy said the policeman who made the stop searched the car and found “a substantial amount” of marijuana, cash and handguns in the vehicle. Way and his four travel mates were each charged with marijuana possession, marijuana possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and were taken to the Carroll County Jail. “It was a lot of marijuana,” Rampy told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, although she could not disclose the exact amount. “All of the individuals were very cooperative,” she said.
