Soulja Boy, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Trina & More Invade BET’s “Rip The Runway”

Rappers Soulja Boy Tell Em, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Trina and more were featured on last night’s airing of the BET special “Rip the Runway.”

Hosted by Minaj, the showcase featured an inside look at 2010’s hottest fashions.

“Rip the Runway” 2010: Nicki both co-hosted the event with actor Pooch Hall and performed at BET’s “Rip the Runway” 2010 at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom. BET’s “Rip the Runway” 2010 highlighted the best in fashion from designers Tracey Reese, Tennille White, Miva, Gavin Douglass and Protege along with music performances from today’s hottest hip hop and R&B stars. In addition to hosting, Minaj also showed off her vocal skills alongside Ludacris.

During the first few opening minutes, Nicki asked Pooch for a favor saying he had not complimented her on her shoes. Not only she received complements from her co-hots on her shoes but also performed as well. On stage, she joined Ludacris and sang with him on his song “My Chick Bad”. On the other hand, new designers had a chance to showcase their new summer and spring designs. (Puggal)

Additional performances came from Southern artists like Trina and B.o.B.

Upstart MC B.o.B. a.k.a. Bobby Ray performed his first single, “Nothin’ on You,” as the Tennille White Chicago line was showcased. Trina was partnered with Haute Couture during her performance and newcomer Roscoe Dash and Soulja Boy Tell’em had the rowdiest performance of the night, hands down, with “All the Way Turnt Up.” The song was paired with sporty clothing line Protégé and featured a model in high heels frantically dribbling a basketball to the beat. The special aired on BET Monday (March 15) night.

Alright that’s enough for me. Regardless of what I say, everyone has their own style in their own little weird way. I’m just here to pick at it in a good and fun way lol. Anyway, check out Rip The Runway tonight at 10pm on BET! (BET)
