Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em may be heading into the studio with G-Unit's 50 Cent soon for an upcoming album tentatively titled Father Son.
While brief with his words, SB tweeted a photo alongside Fif and made an album promise to his Twitter page.
Are Soulja Boy and 50 Cent working on a collaboration album? According to Soulja Boy’s latest Tweet, the answer is yes. Out of the blue, Soulja Boy took to his Twitter account sharing a photo (above) of himself with 50 Cent, with a short but sweet message that a new collaboration effort dubbed Father Son featuring himself and 50 Cent is in the works. Recently, Soulja Boy revelaed 50 is involved in his upcoming Juice movie remake.
Over a year later, the 21-year-old MC says he’s taking his time to make sure that he not only gets the right script, but also the ideal scenario for filming and distribution. Well, he may be one step closer to finding the latter. Soulja recently revealed to XXLMag.com that a certain rap mogul and very close friend of his is helping him make sure that the Juice remake happens–none other than 50 Cent. “With the ‘Juice’ movie… 50 Cent, that’s my big bro,” Soulja told XXLMag.com. “He got a movie deal that gave him millions to come up with content. Me and him are going over the Juice movie now. That’s still coming.” (XXL Mag)
In 2011, he credited Fif for motivating him to not give up on rap despite an underperforming The DeAndre Way album.
“[I stopped Twittering when my sales came back because] I just needed to take a break. I needed to think about things. I needed to evaluate my camp and what was going on in my circle. I had to talk to my family, the label, and my management. I had a big talk with the big bruh 50 Cent. I’m going to forever thank 50 because he guided me. When I was at my lowest point in my career and I just felt like I ain’t really want to do this music no more. I was like, ‘Man, I’m still young. I made enough money.’ My head was on a whole different radar, but he was like, ‘Man, you tripping little bro. You’ve got to keep it going.'” (Complex)
The 21 year-old rapper is also currently putting together his upcoming Promise LP.
“I’m looking to drop it this winter,” Soulja Boy said when asked about the upcoming album release date. “It’s called Promise, my fourth solo album from Interscope Records. I’ve been in the studio, me and Waka [Flocka Flame] have been in the studio, me and Game, me and Detail, you know what I’m saying? Me and DJ Khaled got a joint. Me and Busta Rhymes got a joint. … This album is going to sound like a whole new Soulja Boy. Crazy beats, crazy lyrics. Growth and maturity in my music. It just is what it is. … Just really, I want to do an album that goes platinum in the first week.” (Skee TV)
