SOHH March Madness: “I Have To Put Game As My Swingman. He’s A 6’4, 6’5 Big A** Dude”

[Starting 5: With the annual NCAA March Madness tournament in full swing, SOHH asks your favorite hip-hop artists to name their rap-based starting five team line-ups. Today, Southern rapper Bubba Sparks unleashes his New South Nightmare crew.]

Point Guard: Young Jeezy

For the point guard, I have to go with Young Jeezy because he strikes me as the type of cat that always has a plan and has a clear understanding of every aspect of the game.

Shooting Guard: Fat Joe

I probably have to go with Fat Joe at shooting guard. He keeps coming with it and doesn’t stop his shots. He stays consistent and he’s been around for about 20 years. He won’t go away. Fat Joe keeps taking his shots in the game. That’d be my two man.

Small Forward: Game

I think I have to put Game as my swingman. He’s a 6’4, 6’5 big a** dude. So I think I would have to have him as my three on the team. He’s really into basketball too.

Power Forward: T.I.

I have to put someone with at least ten years in. I can’t have somebody in the low post that’s only been in the game a few years. I need someone reliable. I’d have to put T.I. down there. He’s from my generation and he’s been doing it consistently for the past ten years. I know he had his personal setbacks but it doesn’t seem to affect his craft. He’s been doing it big and he’s someone I can put down on that block. He’s gonna perform every night.

Center: Shaquille O’Neal

I’m going with Shaq at my center because I guarantee nobody even thought about that. He’s a center. He’s arguably one of the best centers in the game too. He’s rapped with Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang, all those guys. He’s made a lot of contributions over the last 20 years. He’s Shaq, he’s one of a kind for sure.
