SOHH March Madness: “For The Center, I’m Putting 50 Cent Right In The Middle For Intimidation”

[Starting 5: With the annual NCAA March Madness tournament finally in full swing, SOHH is asking your favorite hip-hop artists to name their rap-based starting five team line-ups. Today, Chicago rap veteran Twista lets his Few Good Men hit the floor.]

Point Guard: Kanye West

Starting with the point guard, this is a hard one, but I’m going to go with Kanye West. The reason why I would say Kanye is because he has a hold of what he wants to do. He knows exactly what he wants to do. He has put on artists like John Legend, Big Sean, so he has a track record of being successful. He knows exactly what he wants to do and sometimes he his plan laid out for the next year or two. So Kanye West is who I would go with as the point guard.

Shooting Guard: Jay-Z

The shooting guard would have to be Jay-Z. As shooting guard, I’ve got Jay-Z. He’s always going to come with it every time. That’s a person you can expect to deliver every time. He’s come through six, seven summers straight. So I would have to go with Jay-Z rigth there.

Small Forward: Rick Ross

For the game-winning shot, the sure shot, I would have to say Rick Ross. He’s winning right now and so he’s making those game-winning shots.

Power Forward: Snoop Dogg

Thinking of power forward, this has to be a veteran. I’m going to say Snoop Dogg. Just looking at the position, it’s someone who is a veteran and may not always do something traditionally or fundamentally but is always going to come through.

Center: 50 Cent

The first person that comes to my mind right here is 50 Cent. For the center, I’m putting 50 Cent right in the middle for intimidation. No one is going through the middle. And I’m just going off the position, this isn’t about my favorite rappers.

Coach’s Notes: All of my picks are based off the positions. This is really fun though. It’s really dope.
